After lots of playing with simple mods , I broke the 50 mph. Goal I had set for myself for a 139 qmb. 51 mph. On 10" wheel motofino. Scared the shibazz out of me. Son took pic of the this is your speed display , but came out super fuzzy. Going to try it again when I get the sand...

Back filled the cases just incase. Sold the Triton and sent an email about a crank for the build. Road to the store and got stopped by a guy who wanted to know about the scoot. He asked me "Who made that thing?" I said at this point I guess I did. We talked for a bit and he pointed out his custom pickup and expressed an interest in doing a scooter. So I told him about the forum. Maybe we'll get a new member and another modder in town.

The Triton I sold was a stock scooter a buddy and I bought to fix and sell. Have to support my habit somehow. I can't imagine selling mine. That's the scoot the guy and I were talking about with the front end and the one I'm building a motor for. It is still runing plenty strong but it has a stock crank and I'm not able to run it to it's potential for fear of the crank letting go. So I feed the obsession. Lol!

looks good with that colourful front end. Its been a downturn on work on the scooter for me as i have been spending more hours than expected on my KLR650 doing your favourite job wiring.

So far I've soldered a couple of wires for the head lights and back filled the small case half on the bench. Oh yeah, I rode to the mailbox. I am not lazy just conserving my energy for the race at Daytona tonight. Lol

Got up at 5AM to make some test runs. All fails as nothing worked as I'd hoped perhaps it could, but it was nice riding at 60 degrees and reasonable humidity. Some of the days I've been getting up to ride it's miserable at sunrise even from heat/humidity. It was especially nice this morning with I presume people sleeping in from the 4th. No one was on the road on my first trips. By 7AM there was still hardly anyone on the road and I already saw 2 people running all over the road holding cell phones in front of their faces on the wheel.

No. I race from the comfort of my couch. Lol. The race is on tonight and I have a hard time staying awake. Just woke from a nap though so there is hope. Getting old is a bitch. The wife and son are out of town. I should be out howling at the moon, chasing tail and raising hell! Oh yeah and calling a bondsman. I'll stay home.

The front tires on my R-Trike scoot have been wearing rapidly, feathered to the inside. While waiting around at a friends house I spotted a tape measure and a wrench. He had noticed the feathering also. The tape measure showed 1/4" Toe-IN on the inside of the 12" rims. That probably would have been around 1/2" at the tire surfaces. I reset it to 1/16" Toe-IN. It seemed to ride easier on the way back home. It normally sits parked on an ATV jack in the garage that was always in the way for making any toe measurements. Measuring between the rims with a tape measure is not the most accurate way to set toe but in this case it worked. 1/16" difference only 6.5" from the spindle is still a lot of toe angle.
I also got my new trailer tires to try on the scoot.

It's been raining all day so no riding. I rode to the store yesterday with wet roads so I need to wipe it down. I did get all the bearings, seals and a gear box cover gasket ordered and I may have found someone with a sandblaster to do the cases.
