This was last week but I put a windshield on my big Vespa. I think it's ready for the rally.

Installed new tires on Sonja my daily... Well tires from another set of rims that had like 100 miles of use.
It's amazing what new tires feel like, and this isn't my first new set. It gets me every time how awesome corners feel with new tires.
I also dropped a reed in Maddy the 70cc, I think. Still gotta check that out but I'm on my way to the best taco place EVER!

You better get 100 miles on those before I hear of you dragging a knee -- an old mechanic friend.

My windshield makes my helmet more noisy. 🤔 I HATE that! Makes me want an even taller windscreen, but then it starts to defeat the point...

My windshield makes my helmet more noisy. 🤔 That sucks. Trouble is you don't know till you try it. Even someone with the same scooter and screen, might get different results. Could get expensive finding a solution.

The people that owned my 98 Helix before me, installed some aftermarket windscreen, taller and a bit wider. Not sure of the brand, but its an amazing imorovemwnt over the stock screen on my 86. Less noise, and I can actually sit up, and still be protected from the arctic air on the cikd days. Rain? What rain? Gotta ask him if he remembers the brand....

I had the tall screen on my GTS250 and it acted like a sail in any kind of wind. I also spent my time looking through it. I cut it down and I have buffeting on my one helmet but its less on the other.

I'm thinking ear plugs or something. It's a midsize screen so there is the taller option. But I see above it totally... So it's actually the "right" size but if I slouch the wind goes right at my head. If I sit up proper in the seat I'm above the little jet stream and it's not as bad.

I found this forum by chance looking up breaking techs on the Honda metro. I just bought a 2018 on Feb 5th, permit last Thursday and been having fun ever since. Today was my birthday, which help kick me to decide to drop fears and hit a small section of one of our 45mpg sections of roads. Not been above 23 before that. Forgot about the park and cross winds halfway down (I own a truck with a flatbed, so should have thought of that) add in testing a different style helmet.. and seeing a big truck round the corner behind and gaining fast. I hit 35 before slowing to 30 and then using stoplight and traffic, waiting,.... 700 feet (grin) ahead as an excuse to breath again. That was fun. I go to Taekwondo (12 miles round trip ) three times a week. I’ve tried biking for fitness and to save my truck, but the two large hills on the way home after heavy classes knocks me flat. I lasted 6 weeks (removing more extreme details) Now I have fun, motorized, back-up. Ineed to look into how to break down those steep inclines, without burning through break pads, every oil change, so I joined. Happy to meet fellow scooter riders out there. So far, locally, only get yells of “Cute scooter”, “Love your scooter”, or “I want one of those” and similar, but no other scooters. Probably because we have a lot of traffic and main roads are all 50mpgs. Minus one short section of road in between class and myself (45mpg) this scooter should be perfect for my needs... when I’m used to it. Can’t wait for tomorrow’s ride!

This was last week but I put a windshield on my big Vespa. I think it's ready for the rally. My stock screen was tall and awful on the TMAX. I took it off and liked it way better with nothing there. Then I got an aftermarket shield and it was bad again. Then I cut a 1-2" off of the top of the aftermarket shield and that has been acceptable. If there's any way that the mounting angle can be tweaked at all, that may do it. There are also deflector thingies that some people mount on the tops of shields. Lots of them out there, but this will give you the idea : amzn.to/2PiPunT
