I took a short hour long ride on the TMAX this afternoon. Can ya tell it has warmed up here? I rode for hours a couple of weeks ago, including an hour after dark doing fairly high speeds and got maybe 10 bugs on me and the scoot. Not today. Tomorrow is supposed to be 75 so my sport bike friend called and wants to ride late afternoon. Works for me!

Bug season has officially started. Seems early, but I guess that is global warming. It seems everything is a month early. That does not bode well for the AC $$ or the summer heat wave.

No bugs on my helmet round here, mostly cow slurry by the looks of it intermingled with mud.

No bugs on my helmet round here, mostly cow slurry by the looks of it intermingled with mud. Smell should have identified it, not "looks". It is probably the reason for no bugs. They are probably all sitting on the steaming 'cow slurry' enjoying the 'atmosphere'. That is what they do around here when the farmers are spraying it(mud) on the fields, roads, passing cars, etc.
If you think 'cow slurry' is bad you should take a whiff of 'pig slurry' from one of those 10,000+ hog farm operations around here. You can smell it for miles and miles away. The smell will burn your nostrils, smack you up side of head, and wake you up like a double dose of smelling salts.

Came home and was locked out of the house this morning. Tried to wake the wife up for fifteen minutes, with no luck. So decided to put my scooter away in the shed. Had to climb a six foot fence in full bike gear. But when I got to the other side. My keys to unlock the gate were still in my scooter! More climbing out then back again. Why did climbing fences seem so easy when we were kids? But not so easy now I'm heading 60?

Had to climb a six foot fence in full bike gear. Fingers crossed that one of your neighbors puts the security cam footage of this up. 🤣 I rode the TMAX yesterday afternoon. I got behind a school bus making a left turn on a road with only a small shoulder. I was off to the far right side of my lane waiting for the bus to turn, but didn't want to pass it stopped. Traffic coming the opposite direction stopped to let the bus turn, even though they didn't have to. I took off as the bus got out of my way and the third car in line the opposite way was a late model Camaro that decided to pass the cars ahead of him in my lane. Luckily I was all ready most of the way over. It was pretty close. I don't think he could even see me to know I was there when he first pulled out to pass because the school bus was still getting out of the way of the other cars. Naturally, I pulled over a few minutes later and my helmet cam was frozen. Went to load the footage and it got everything from the past few days of riding except for any of the clips from the hour that happened in. I've used GoPros a ton for years and I've had more trouble with these 9s (I have 3 of them) freezing then any other GoPro that I've used. I don't think the latest 12s are likely any better. I know they are pushing higher resolution and frame rates and other features that make more heat, but I hardly ever had any issues when I used Hero4s or 2s, and I had my 4s for at least 5 years of heavy use.

Oh well son had scooter 2 days I think. Seat won't open, keys work ok but I think cable come off at lock end as unit moves past it's stopping position when turning key. Cannot reach underneath as air filter in the damn way to pull cable and not getting on hands and knees in the damp and muck to fiddle with it . Joined their cat in the warm and drank tea.

It's a good job he has the warranty of Dad to fix it.

I have heard a few people having this problem with the newer cameras. My mate got so fed up with it he has switched to the Insta 360. That's after ten years of using go pro cameras.

Repairs and service I used to do for $10-20 now costs $1000... We have laughed at pictures of people needing a whole wheelbarrow full of cash to buy a loaf of bread in some countries. We have been amazed to see 10,000 peso/yen/whatever etc paper bills or notes. Nobody laughs anymore. It feels difficult and dangerous to carry enough cash in a wallet to pay for a decent meal and night out now. I have lived too long, I can no longer afford it, -time to die.
