I wnt to the shop that the scoot has always been serviced at to get a new float for my mikuni vm13. I was told by the shop that they cant get it unless I can tell them a bike they sell that has the same carb. What the heck? You dont have a parts book? No we dont. Just service manuals for the bikes we sell. well how did you work on this bike before? We didnt. they say. I go outside a grab my folder and show that they have been working on this bike and have torn down the carb 3 times In the last five years. He looks in the computer and tries to tell me there is no records of this scoot in the shop even though i have his name and signature on the recipts...so i say the hell with it, if you cant find a simple common mikuni part that I can find in the first ten results of google, you not worth the breath im wasting here.

For some odd reason everyone in town hates the tgb scoots. They refuse even to get parts. im super down with buying locslly but this is getting annoying. Is there something I dont know about tgb? Ive only read that they are overbuilt (for a cheap scoot) and solid although they do use the morini instead of the minerelli.

They are probably unfamiliar with them and the Morini. It's easier for them to shy away than learn. Ignorance is bliss after all. Lol

Welcome back! Ive been offline here as well. I posted just now about what has been happening to me. Two accidents this year. Been on cruches for most of it LOL! SWEET ride my friend. Wish I could find something like that! Be safe and never be afraid to get back on that horse, ever! Once I get a bit stranger, just got out of cast Thanksgiving. Nice scooter. Keep plugging away mate you'll get it fixed. But I had the same problem when I owned my CF Moto no one would touch it so I had to do all the work myself.

Same here- nobody will touch it if it isn't Yamaha or Honda. Whenever I call somewhere local to get a part they say "bring the part in so we can match it". If I'm looking for a cooling shroud because I don't have one they are totally lost on what a Minarelli is or a Morini etc. You'd think if scooters were your line of work you'd know the most popular engines?? None of the local places knows squat- I order online.
