Ide race a mower  !!! Thats weird with the G-tech?.. Those things work in all kinds of cars and trucks everyday. Never tried one on two wheels but ii dont see why it wouldnt work the same... Darn it! Get a Koso accel meter if (when) you can. I love this lil shit. I tried to get Erica to go with me but she didnt want to miss her show lol. I wanted her to go so we could try a 260lb race, and so we could try and race each other :riding: . Plus it makes for better vids ;D. I went, ran those passes, and was back home before her show started just to prove a point. Most 1/8th and 1/4 mile races dont take long . On the 1/8th mile pass i recorded i held the front brake and loaded up the cvt before i went. I wasnt too worried about this one spinning, it wont even spin the tire on wet pavement lol. That seems to help with this scooter quite a bit. Probably the taller gear ratio, i dunno? If i do that on Skeedr, it either doesnt help at all, or it will push the scooter. The rear drum will not hold Skeedr back anymore. This darn meter is gonna be the end of me and my "stock" Cobra :wheelie:

This darn meter is gonna be the end of me and my "stock" Cobra I thought that as soon as you posted the first times. I know how that goes. lol Looking around... From GTech's site... "Also, in order for the Gtech's results to be accurate & meaningful, all timing must start from a complete standstill, and all motion must be on a flat and smooth surface. Motorcycles generally exhibit a bit of pitch under hard acceleration, especially powerful/fast bikes. This pitch effect will negatively impact the accuracy of your results (it cannot be quantified in a blanket statement, the effect varies on a case-by-case basis.) Also be aware that motorcycles will also experience problems with lateral G measurements in turns, due to the severe banking angle motorcycles undergo in turns." Lots say it will work for 0-60, 1/4 mile, and trap speed on most bikes though. I've used it in cars that don't launch as hard as the Venus does with no issues. I guess even if it does pick up, it won't matter unless I hit 60+.

Yet in the link you posted they claim it dosnt need to be level...uhuh. Right, and what about the car that wont take off w/o a wheelie? lol

I read on a Mustang forum years ago that the Gtech didn't like their cars that wheelstand.

Looks like 90,s for raceday tomm. BTW, that is what iam racing in the bracket series since Skeedr isnt ready . My Cobra runs its worst when it above mid 80,s but im sure as long as its consistent we will do great! Getting ready to go test in the heat . All post some vids if anyone is interested in some more slow Cobra runs ?

I guess that air was worth a few tenths.?. I went from 25psi to 40psi and ran a 14.14. That knocked 4/10ths off my best so far. Be sweet to get a stock 49cc in the 13,s!!! I did solve the cold slip problem too im sure. I switched back to my old clutch bell and it isnt slipping anymore.

Well i didnt get my 13,s lol. Not even close but still very impressive for a stock 49cc. I dunno wth is up with my accel meter? The speedo seems right on. Need to check it with a GPS. Gypsy i call em lol. My best ET was 15.49@40.43 MPH with mid 15,s being my average for the day. My worst pass was 16.13@38.92MPH not sure what was up there?
I must say, it was kinda nice taking the Cobra this round. I was able to take off and ride some of the very nice twisty roads down there. in rural Brown county Indiana. I could never do that with Skeedr. I had a blast but once again the heat got the best of me. I felt the headache sneaking in toward the finish of the races. By the time we got to Indy to drop Skipp off i was sick and didnt shake it until 2:30 this morning. Darn heat ex! At least i finished the races before it kicked in this time. It seemed to get VERY hot around the end. I think that was around 4pm so that makes sense lol. I get all woozy and dizzy when this happens to me. Takes a good 24hours to get my body back in order and at least 4 months to think right...Lol. J/k about the last part...Im still waiting. Hahahaa.

It's stock, nothing wrong with those times. MPH is still good. Look at the MPHs a lot of the modded 4T 50-80ccs do.
Sorry you're still getting sick from the heat. I dunno if it's something you can shake or not. I get the same sorta stuff and I have to sleep it off basically. Seems to get worse with age. Best advice I can give is to change your habits, like maybe make sure you are under shade as much as possible and keep hydrated. Mount an umbrella on the scoot? lol If you don't have one, you might be surprised how much a dark smoked visor helps to keep your helmet cooler inside. Won't do anything for you on short runs at the track, but maybe for the ride before and after.

When I work out in the heat I wear a tank hat and wet it down periodically. When it's really hot I wet my shirt down. Makes a big difference. I also suggest constantly eating crushed ice.

Thats it, forgot the crushed ice  . For real tho, that really helps and i didnt do that this tme 15,s isnt bad at all for a heavy stock Cobra with worn piston rings and cheap oil :thumb: :scoot2:

I rode motocross as a young man, proper gear in 95*+heat was a killer, hated it,heat headaches, wished they held them in the winter, but the spectators wouldnt come. Got into riding road bicycles about 10 years ago, same stuff,95*+heat,pushing yourself to be competitive, heat headaches..had to give it up.. I found that if competing in heat, some pain med before the headache,a camelback full of ice/water to cool the spine and sip on helped,, What it breaks down to, RACING IN THE HEAT SUCKS!!!!!
