So for the record, it seems that the longer offset of the motor mount tube should be on the CVT side of the motor. As shown in the pic above ^^^^^ on the 49cc motor on the left. I'm sure y'all already knew that lol..

The good news is I took the time to clean the Mikuni carb from the parts scoot and it works fine. Bonus! The 50cc is up and running- outta tune. I've got the stock vari back in with e-start and she's in bad need of CVT tuning. O well, it starts and runs good and I want to spend my time on the 90cc now so I'll deal with a slow stock ride.

Isn't nice to have a motor and be able to do a swap in an hour or two and be riding.

I made a deal with myself that I would only borrow parts off my other motor if I had ordered a replacement first. Now I've got a third stripped down on the bench. Lol. Three motors, one scoot. Damn I need to find a retro. Of course when I do it will have a motor so that's not a big help.

I am just not seeing what could make this sound so bad... could it be this scrape in the pickup? Also when moving the connecting rod(?) there's no play up/down but a bit sloppy side to side. Considerably more play than the brand new crank has...

More evidence of things scraping at RPM. The flywheel puller from Partsforscooters didn't fit, but I used this gear puller without too much difficulty.

I'll let you know what I got? No titles so I may part them.

Kinda looks like the right main crank bearing has slop,or the case has worn allowing the crank to wobble..Grab the crank end and give it a stout up and down free play check, should feel very little movement..

Happy to say that there's no play in the bearing race's- I've found the problem.................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

Yeah, that looks like it would make some noise. That flywheel looks different than what I'm used to on these engines and I wasn't even thinking about it being Adly. I suspect that puller should work on the rest of your motors unless they sent you the wrong thing. M27x1.0 LH is the typical Minarelli size. Here's some info from Doc that may be useful : 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/8538/matter-stator-adly-issues
