Thanks for the compliments fellas! This is a 50 bore. I have already hit a brick wall though. Long case gears vs. 90 gears. Sitticus didn;t you go through this mess? I need to use my scooter gears- at least the shaft for the tire, but the gearbox is completely different. Grrr.

Congrats Niz! I'm going to Orlando today for a 50cc with back wheel and a 70cc cylinder. This one is out of a Triton and I'll be using it for a 90+ CC build. Just have to find a scooter for it. When I was shopping around for a replacement scoot I was seriously considering getting a 4T scoot and a parts minerelli scoot and putting the 2T into it. I loved the looks of the 4T, but of course want 2T power!

You'll need to find a 10" rear wheel to fit the short case splines,Ive seen some 12" rims too with "rubberband" tires on them to clear the cases..

But the spline in my Roketa is Huuge compared to the spline in the 90... Which really sucks because now I basically have to find another 12" rim with smaller spline??

If it's a long case then you could swap gears but that's a big if. There are some measurement here you could find and compare. My Vento Zip was a short case with 12" wheels and low profile tires.

I can't tell by the pictures but if it says adly all over it you might have got real lucky. Measure from the mount tube to axel centerline. A longcase is about 13.5 to 14 inches a shortcase is around 10 and a adly is about 12.5 inches. They use a shortcase transmission with a really long belt. If it is an adly it will swing a 139/90/10 or 130/70/12. Cool find I'll check the numbers on mine and the exact length when i get a chance

My adly 90 has shortcase gears in it about 11:1 the axel spline is the same as all my longcase clones

Yeah Moofus, everything you're saying seems to be the case: Measurement from mount tube center to axle center is 13 3/8"... The belt is a strange one too- Bando 23100-117-000. So you think this is a good thing? The splines and gears are so far off from my 50 to this 90 that there's really no hope of using my rim. Clearance is fine, but the 90 axle is tiny compared to the 50. In this photo below, you can begin to see the problem I'm having. The Roketa 50 splines are huge compared to the Adly90 ones. They are completely different with no hop of transferring from one gearbox to the next. This means I'm where Sitticuss was in his build, except I don't need a smaller 10" rim, I just need another 12" that accepts this small spline. Hmmm..,.

I can't exactly remember now what the Ratio was- I think the Adly gears were 8.8:1 or so, and my 50 gears are 13.5:1....

the eight to 1 gears are worth getting a new rim

I've got a set of short case gears but they are 13:1

My adly 90 has shortcase clone gears in it at about 11 to 1 ratio. The 12 inch triton wheel bolts right on. Must be the adly uses a small axel but the regular clone shortcase gears bolt right in then your wheel will fit

Maybe I'll have to look for a 12" Triton wheel then..
