Bought $50 bucks worth of contra-pulley springs and rollers and since theyre deemed performance parts they let me return um...even if the parts are in the sealed box they were shipped in. total fucking bullshit.

i have encountered a lot of places that don't take returns on performance chinese parts. most places i order from won't take them back even if unopened. it is a gamble whenever you do scooter upgrades so i always try to buy parts made in taiwan whenever possible.
are the parts you bought for a 50 or 150?

Top rate in my experiences! I wish they would get distribution for all the stuff Racing Planet sells and then ships in a month or two.

This thread should be called "Be Aware!" "Be Warned" kinda sounds like something sinister is happening when in fact it's just a policy PFS adopted for good reason most likely.

It kinda drives me crazy when I read a post that says this "deemed performance parts they let me return um..." when they meant Parts for Scooters would "NOT let me return um..." We all make typos and such but really, this is pretty bad. It changes the entire meaning of the post. He is complaining because they "let me return em..." So, what's the problem? I do believe I get the jest of the post but this one bothered me from the first day it was posted. Billy

performance parts are as is and a lot of sites won't even let you return stock parts. made in china parts as a rule don't have warranties, even some of the new scooters are not covered.

This is why I like Amazon, never had a problem with a return, one call and it's taken care of, never an issue of who pays return shipping, they just process it and your done. Prices are cheaper and half the time it's the same part from the same factory.

If they did that there business would go threw the roof, wonder why they havent??? RP is primarily a retail outfit here in the US, we aren't. We keep the PFS site alive for you guys, but our primary business is dealer direct and much of the RP product doesn't have the margin to be sold to your local dealership as it's already coming from a distributor. This is a really good question though! Matt

Good luck with Amazon if you have a question (pre or post sale)
PartsForScooters.com has been top notch for me so far. Recommended.

Haven't had that issue but once, and since they didn't answer, I didn't buy the part. My point is find the vendors with the policies you agree with and give your money to them and you'll save yourself some headaches.
