I'd fix up the Baccio and use the 4t as my emergency/last resort scooter. I'm not sure why it makes me hungry....

I'd fix up the Baccio and use the 4t as my emergency/last resort scooter. I'm not sure why it makes me hungry.... You're starting to sound like my cousin... Honestly I needed a break from the Baccio. Plus I'm not turning it over till the carb is here. I've contemplating tearing the whole frame down and cleaning everything up but there's a few factors with that. 1. I'm broke this week. 2. I'm afraid I'd break wires and such and don't have replacements. 3. The panels that are left on it are barely holding on as it is and if I remove them, they may not stay back on. (See reason #1) 4. It's on my patio and I don't have anymore room to keep tearing it down without bringing it to the driveway or the open patio area, which will cause my landlord to have rainbow colored puppies shoot from his butt. 5. The M1 is my emergency/last resort scooter, thus why I am trying to get it tuned this weekend. It's not really far off. I just haven't had time this week to do the few hours of work, tomorrow I work till noon then I'm taking my car over to a friends to rip the front end apart and rebuild half of it. I'm praying nothing else brakes or I'm screwed and have no choice but to ride the M1 to work till the car is back to running. THUS... I need to tune it for optimal travel. 6. You're welcome to come fix the Baccio for me, oh wise and powerful VX master. All kidding aside, I'd totally do like you said but at least with the M1 I can keep it parked in the driveway without the landlord complaining. The VX is sitting on the patio behind a fence so it isn't an eyesore with its panels all off.

Well I was gonna say, I got a Hoca yellow spring and it's softer than the stock so I switched back to stock. AM spring is good for up shifting but bad for down shifting. If you do a lot of town riding like me I like to down shift faster so I can get back on the throttle faster. That's why I went with a little heavier roller weight. Well town riding yes, but there is also the chance I'd like to take a nice long ride which having the top speed would help on. Around here, going 35 will get you a gang of a-holes on your tail. 40+ and they aren't as bad. I refuse to ride the shoulder everywhere because down here we are street legal riders and have every right as a car. If it's a 2 lane road then I'll go to the shoulder to let cars pass if need be. But I'd rather be going with traffic as much as possible. The other night I had it up to almost 48, it felt pretty stable actually. I didn't even know I was going that fast till I looked down. So maybe dropping the weight a half gram or putting a stiffer spring in would help. But how stiff of a spring is my question. If you're saying the yellow (I think is 1.5k) was softer than stock, than stock may as well be 2k. I have to check the vari and see what it's doing at that speed. But I know that the belt was using all of the room, it's just that my RPM dropped with the smaller jet. I'm going to check 90GTVert post on jet comparisons again and see what his numbers showed. But again, this is hard to judge without knowing exactly what affect the jet has on temp and all too so I have to be careful till the CHT arrives. I was clocked at 51 last night. Word to the wise, check your brakes check your brakes check your brakes. At 51the scoot didn't even come close to the stopping range at 35. I new it would take more distance but it was like 2and half times breaking distance at 35. I finally came to a stop in the middle of an intersection right in front of a Nevada State Trooper. I was braking so hard when it did stop the scoot died and I was pushing it backwards thinking great I'm going to jail. I couldn't believe it, the trooper shook his head, started laughing and drove off. One last thing incase I didn't mention it before CHECK YOUR BRAKES CHECK YOUR BRAKES CHECK YOUR BRAKES!!! :burnout:

WOW now thats scary! Speaking of which i need to put the new pads on the GMW like tomorrow...... Its a good thing a brake job on a scooter takes like 2 hours max!

If I was closer...I totally would..I could use a break from the wife... I have a couch that's mighty comfy. I hear ya. Guess I'm on the other end of that spectrum. I sometimes wish I had someone here to occupy the times I don't work on it hah.

The good part about this scoot being new, most of the stuff works still. Including the brakes. I've done brake checks before on it but the other night someone pulled out of a complex right in front of me as I was doing a WOT test. I had to squeeze both brakes and I stopped a lot sooner than I thought I would. So yeah, be careful. And 51? YOU SOB! You also weigh less than me.

Not exactly, but I've got a little padding from all the clothing and coat so I think I'm protected and don't fear the black ice.

I put the #95 jet back in and hooked up the CHT. Going to see what it's doing in a little bit. I also put the bar end mirrors on. I had to chop the throttle down almost an inch since the throttle assembly hangs that far off the end. I couldn't slide it in because the frame has two brackets welded on for the mirrors. Not a big deal, I was going to replace the grips/throttle grip anyways, so if the mirrors work well I'll take the stock mirrors off and grind off the brackets for them.
Once I see temps with the 95 jet, then I'll know where to tune the carb. Once I get that in, I'll work on the CVT I guess. It's a nice day today so we will see how she runs.

So I took it for a ride and while I was out, I decided to take it through a patch of grass. I goosed it and this is what happened. Ok so I can post photos on this crappy mobile app.
I was taking a test run and stopped in some grass by the house. I figured let's see how it runs in the grass? It got a little slippery but then a patched seemed to smooth out? Then it started to lose it. I goosed it and lost the rear end. Oh, the scooter is fine. But I broke my tibia in 3 places and require surgery. So yay.
Otherwise I'm fine, had to get transfered to another hospital for an orthopedic surgeon that would take the case. Yes I was wearing my helmet. Sadly one of the new mirrors may have broke.
