And that link you posted had a mal ware virus attached to it!! Thanks I needed that! Which link? To the forums that Brent posted in? Huh. Odd. So yeah if you're saying the little hole is TDC, then why is it running if it's in completely backwards? Shouldn't I be firing out of the carb then? I don't know. I wrote Scrappy and asked them, I wonder when they'll respond. Otherwise tomorrow I'm taking the top end apart and inspecting for damage first, then I'll throw the stock cam back in just to be safe. I hope to god I didn't blow the insides apart, even though it sounded and ran fine. I mean really, that thing rev'd without any issues other than maybe the fuel mix which I have yet to tune.

It's a bigger cam it's gonna make more noise. The hole goes forward, I thought I said that. I posted a pic of the cam it looks just like the stock but with more holes A little more noise, sure. This though is way more than it was before. If the hole goes forward, then I'm the idiot that didn't research and check. Again though, how is it running then if it's 180 degrees off. Some places I've read that the lift of the lobes is too much for the valves and springs. So maybe I need to look into a new head with a better match to it. I don't know. I can't seem to find the answer on my own tonight.

I can't remember off hand but I remember reading a post where someone else did the same thing. Maybe Brent remembers it and I'll bet 190mech or FrankenMech would be able to answer the running backwards part. Give me a minute and I'll send you a pic of what it should look like.

That's how the A9 should look at TDC

That's how the A9 should look at TDC Son of a bitch. And you still are using the stock head too, right? Now I'm curious how your scoot sounds now.

I didn't switch the head because the valves weren't leaking. It was a stock non egr head the only difference is its been ported and polished.

The ticking is the exhaust leak.

Everywhere I read they say the stock head works fine with a 72cc kit. It's just the cam I'm friggin stressed over and if I installed the piston backwards now too. Damn non-distinct markings!

The ticking is the exhaust leak. I'll see about that too. Guess I'll have to throw one of those gaskets on. I had some copper gasket that 2TDave gave me a while ago but I can't find them in my piles of junk. I might have tossed them when I bought the S6 gaskets for the VX50.
