The Minarelli gets away with right hand threads because it uses a cupped /notched kickstart drive that engages on the crank end spline..The Morini relies in the LH thread nut to do all the work..Perhaps Malossi has a kit to cure this problem..Rethreading the TGB nut to RH thread would likely leave little usable thread and would tend to unthread itself with each boot at the kick start..

There is a kick start mechanism that sits on top of the nut I'm talking about, that has a spring behind it and is held down by "3" bolts in a triangle manner, here is what I'm talking about but its saying here that nut is right handed? I'm lost in the sauce!!...

Here is some pics of the back splines on both cranks the stock crank and the new crank,my question is how much room is needed for the vari plate,I have too use the starter gear because the kick start gear won't work because of the right hand threads on the malossi crank, here is some pics of what I have going now not sure if the vari will work with not a lot of splines.... .... ...

I'd like to see the ramp plate all the way on the splines. Looks like if you could get rid of 0.5-1mm spacing back there it would be fine.

I'll grind a little off the starter gear tomorrow too get that 0.5-1.0mm and most likely kill "5" batteries trying too start it up when its time,I also might be able too use an aprilla sr50 starter gear cause the malossi crank has splines on the front like an sr crank does, seen a italjet formula 50 I need that starter gear I found one in the UK so I'll be ordering that soon

I pulled up that parts diagram and I think its a translation thing there,,"RH" means inner,"LH" means outer as viewed from the pilots seat..You might look around for some shop manuals on the Morini SR50 and Italjet Dragster for some info on how theirs is put together..

Thanks again "190" the formula 50 97-03 has the same engine as the tgb scooters but the kickstart gear is setup using the end splines instead of the bolt and gear setup like the Tgb,I found one in Europe for $20 shipped and also need too order rings

So I ordered new rings and all parts I need from Europe for kickstart hope it will work I'll keep everyone posted,I had to order from 4 different places cause not one store had all kickstart pieces"fingers crossed this works cause I don't think stock starter will have enough torque too turn it over

Minor update canceled items from UK and found entire kickstart cog assembly that fits that crank I'll post pics of it when I get them its pretty ingenious how they designed the piece,to me it is cause I've never seen a setup like this,as for the price it was only $25 shipped from Germany and the guy was really helpful and said he is 99.9% it will work we shall see,I found after about 3 hrs of searching the ole interwebs!!! Lol

I think its a 1/8X28 JIS pipe thread..Our USA 1/8" pipe thread is 1/8X27 which fits fine with a bit of teflon tape if ya want to delete the temp gauge,,darn good gauge to have though!!!
