I said the hell with waiting on the rest of the parts and started breaking the motor down when I got off work, everything went fairly smooth,a little background on how this whole l.c conversion started. My brother gave me this bike(well we traded item's) and that's how i got this motor, the motor is out a 2006 Tgb r50x which had a bad crank seal and leak and the previous owner abused it so I took the motor and the 13's and put the wheels on my Tgb Keywest.I seen how well s9 run for long distance because of the l.c so I wanted a challenge and that's where I'm at now,I think I'll be the 1st person too convert a Tgb Keywest to l.c Im excited too see the final product once I'm done...... ........ ....

Who says you can't use a cheap $12 puller from harbor freight too pull a flywheel and separate case, actually worked great, just have too keep puller straight, also for my "2" bolts I used "2" old cylinder studs which are 6mm and they worked fine( Except when I was heaving on the puller and wondering why it wasnt budging then"""""POP""""''' scared the shizz outta me!!!; ), oh and the bolts that come in kit are to big..... ..... ..... ...... .......

Yeah from what I've read these motors can be good if you work out one of its major flaws and that is the intake area, the way the case protrudes into the intake messes the flow up really bad so I'll be posting what the issue is and how I will try to remedy the issue....""stay tuned""; )

Looking at your split cases, looks like the reed tunnel is positioned waay better than a Mina, also look at the HUGE flange around the crankcase,,heck a big ol' 47mm stroke crank would drop in with some machine work.Lots of meat around the cylinder flange/transfer tunnels too, wish a Mina had that much...

I was gonna buy the big stroker from aliexpress but wasn't sure how much meat the case had too support it,I had already bought the malossi HQ f.c crank now I'm regretting getting the malossi now that I see how much it has too give if I had a buyer for the malossi I would get rid of it and get the 47mm stroker but morini stuff nobody wants too buy!!

That's a hell of a deal. That crank for a Mina is $220. Not sure why a Morini @ Malossiusa lists it for $449 but for $100 I'd be all over it.

So yesterday I spent 2 hours scrubbing the engine case 1/2's in purple power and a car dealership grade car wash I got from a buddy, also bought aircraft stripper too get rid of the paint on the trarry cover so heres what the cover looks like.... .......Im gonna either put a mirror shine on it or I also work for a guy(when landscaping is out of commission)that owns a mobile paint company that I've been talking too about painting the entire engine!!!

Polished looks great but it can be a pain to do. IMO that cover would like nice if you did some combo of paint and polish. Even if you paint it, maybe polish the TGB logo or some sort of accent. With all of the raised areas on there you could prob come up with an interesting scheme.
