Havent bumped in awhile - nothing "exciting" when i ride my red schwinn into work, but today's bump is my 2 stroke venice! Excite bike! Got my plug cap (ngk cap) slightly modified now so it stays put! Makes me happy to get some 2t smoke in just in time for independance day! (Aka anarchy in the usa day)

Rode Violet about 80 miles round trip to work in one of the schools training 42 kids after taking car yesterday and leaving all the training tat and bicycle there. Hopefully the warm front will stay in Wales and I can do same next week and week after 😊. I also visited 2 motorcycle shops on way home and sat on a couple of scooters. I am also happy to report since putting Violet back to original I can thrash the pants off it and no partial seizures.

Got about 2 or 3 miles from work when something broke, yet again. I wasn't hotdogging it or going fast or anything, just slow take-offs and stops while weaving my way through a neighborhood. Thought it was a slow belt blow, but turns out the the rear hub splines decided to go flat. Luckily I work with someone that has a pickup and is generally in the office earlier than I am. Yet again, I was so lucky not to be 20+ miles from home with all the riding I did over the long holiday weekend. I guess it doesn't surprise me that the splines went. I had problems last year and ended up buying a new axle. The hub was worn, but what the hey, I got another 2000 miles on it before it blew.

Well went to put the slider back in daily use after the engine build. No back lights! All fixed now so we will try again tonight.

Yeah I rode to work yesterday had a fine ride in. The ride home was hell, lightning all around, rain that felt like needles. Would do again 10/10.

Yes! Started a part time gig at the local gas station and for the first time ever rode my scooter to work! The best way to start and end a day.
