If you have a strap wrench to hold the cvt and a socket and ratchet and a hammer.

It depends on what engine you have some you can use a strap, some have a locking tool you can use. There at many different styles depending on engine.

This is what I use...I have an impact and that works well to remove it but, I wanted something I could easily carry on the road with me. Also, I use this so I can use my torque wrench when putting that nut back on. These are about $10 on ebay if you look around. Bill

The variator locking tool that PirateLabs showed is well worth the money. I just got one and was easily able to take the variator off without my impact wrench.

The top tool in your pic isn't really a puller, just helps you hold some things. It would hold the clutch bell or flywheel. The bottom one is what you'd want to hold the variator on a 139QMB. You could use the top one to hold the flywheel while you remove the variator nut, but it's easier just to use the bottom tool.

Ok so I bought a 729 belt jus until my 669 or 699 belt came n. It cranked up fine until I changed the carb to 2mm. So I installed the belt n changed it to the stock 18mm now it seems like it won't start. I have it on a trickle charge it started fine but it would not start with new carb. I changed it back same result. Any ideas it's only been a 4 days sitting . Video is in next post .

Check and make sure there are no vacuum leaks and your hoses are connected properly. Remember, you said it ran fine before carb swap, double check your work.
