If you are running wide open throttle and its dying, chances are its a lack of gas getting to the carb. Meaning the carb is using more gas than the fuel system can deliver.

Fuel starvation. Clean carb. Check fuel lines, filter & petcock. Drain fuel tank and replace with fresh gas. Do this. The filter in the previous post is inside the gas tank. It may be clogged from the scoot sitting with stale gas in it. Billy

I posted a picture of the petcock. I highlighted(in RED) the filter/screen that's attached to it. If you have rust or crud in the gas tank, chances are this is clogged and restricting the fuel flow to the carburetor.

You need to remove the filter that is inside the tank and make sure it is not clogged. Forget seafoam and clean the filter.

Floyd:
Everything these guys are telling you is correct. The reasoning behind it is...X amount of fuel needs to flow in order to achieve and maintain wide open throttle. So, let's say that screen inside the tank is only 25% blocked....not a big deal under most conditions because enough fuel gets to your carb. But, when Wide Open throttle, you need every ounce of fuel flowing through or it ain't gonna work right. It is the same with a clogged, or partially clogged fuel filter in a car. Fine under most conditions except when fuel delivery demand is very high. A clogged or partially clogged fuel tank vent can also do this. The alcohol in our gas does not help anything at all...especially when sitting. This sort of gels up and can clog passages in the carb. and will screw things up. That is why most of us run about an ounce of seafoam in our tanks to stabilize the gas and help prevent this.
I think you are doing well and learning a lot. I just wanted to try to help you understand why this might be happening and the theory behind it. I really have nothing to add to the advice the fellows have told you on what to do.

The front wheel needs to be spinning. The speedometer & odometer are connected to the front wheel via the speedometer cable. Unless you are running it on a treadmill you will have to take it for a ride, preferably outside. Them walls will come up quick indoors.
