Ok, my variator kit and stage 6 intake came in too. My carb won’t be here for a couple of weeks. I had planned on doing the big bore kit along with everything I’ve got so far this weekend but kinda scared to now.
Saying I’d better wait is like telling a kid on Christmas let’s just wait a couple weeks to open your presents.

Pipe is the easiest thing to test. Put it on and go for a ride. If you don’t like it, swap back. Should take 5 mins. No break in. Report back with results!!

Yes, there are washers welded in two places. Well taking all apart this weekend to install all the new components.

Tuning is all about doing one thing at a time. Do one thing, test, then proceed to do the next.

Sounds like you're running the pipe with the restrictions in place like Ryan mentioned. Just grind away the little tack welds holding those "washers" into place and it'll unleash the full power of the pipe. Of course now your power is higher up in rev range from stock but should be a big improvement with some tuning!

I’ve got the bb kit & s6 big valve intake on. With the stock carb & stock jetting it will not rev past 1/4 throttle sounds like it’s starving for fuel. I figure most will say it’s the jetting. I’m just not sure. My new carb is still a week out.

I decided to go with the Polini cp(21mm). I’m not very familiar with slide type carburetors and the cable is too short. I’ve saw how to change it. My question is how do you know what’s the best length to make it? I’m meaning the part inside of the carb. Itself.

It should have enough free play to go from the elbow joint the outer cable sits in. To the lowest position with the slide attached. When I did mine I wound out the adjustment at the carb side so it was in the middle. Then if it's slightly too long or short, you can find tune it with the adjustment.

I have a question related to carbs. I am swapping a Minarelli engine from a Keeway F-act 50 into a JL50QT-6A ruckus clone frame. The clone has the fuel tank in the floor, and uses a vacuum fuel pump.
Will a vacuum fuel pump work with the carb on the minarelli engine? The carb is a stock carb at this point, but I want to go to a big bore kit and an OKO carb in the future. If the vacuum fuel pump will work, all I have to do is mount the oil tank, otherwise I have to mount a gravity feel fuel tank.
Thanks.

This is a pic that basically shows what I am trying to find out about. The huge tank cannot possibly feed the carb without a fuel pump. I have read that a Mikuni DF-44-211 vacuum pump works with a lot of applications. The clone has a generic vacuum fuel pump on it now. Maybe this makes it more clear.
