I gotcha, I hear you both loud and clear. I don't have a torque wrench, gonna get a starter from HF now. I will try to hand tighten, run, tighten, run, a bit and see what I get. Problem is after a while I can't get it to go any tighter with out everything wanting to rotate. But, maybe a torque wrench will better help guide where I'm currently at in those situations. I'll report back. Sure those splines don't look bad?... Finally got the clutches back together. What do you all use to compress these? I was using C clamps but don't want to bend the drive plate. I saw 90GTVerts creation, should I use that? Edit : using both washers and using locktite, and cleaning old locktite between tries, to best of ability I have a clutch tool for the spring. You can normally just step on it w two feet then spin the nut on .

I would need a pic for reference, mine has a snap ring / clutch bell / nut. Right? I do try stepping on it but for whatever reason can't get enough clearance for the snap ring to seat.
Just got torques

Go buy a torque gun at harbor freight. Hit it with the red loctite and jam that fucker on. A torque gun is a better investment than the CVT holder. You'll use it more.

Impact gun... Err I meant to say.
But yeah , don't buy single use tools if you can avoid it.

When I'm messing with the bolts on the CVT and on the clutch I red loctite them and crank them down hard with the gun. But I've had situations where it's not flush and it wiggles out

I need to just migrate over to the build thread, this is becoming a saga.
Its running but not well. It's sputtering off once the idle gets chunky enough.
It was raining most all of yesterday which is why work and testing has been sporadic.
Finally at midnight last night, tried to get it home in the rain. It seemed rough going at first but I thought hey it'll just take a moment for everything to settle. Except it didn't.
Now, to me it seems, the clutch isn't engaging correctly. I open the throttle and the RPMs shoot up while I stay mostly still or very slow roll.
Not sure what's going on but will be checking later this morning. Took the day off work to get this sorted. Clear skies and warm temperatures today. Maybe now that it's dry, I'll have better luck. I did brush off the clutch shoes but literally just brushed off, nothing else. That shouldn't be affected.
I'll report back later.

For clarity, walked it back to the shed after 100m and got the Riva Razz to get home.
Also
The Ruckus still needs to be kickstart. I don't know why the battery is acting dead. It's brand new. I can get switch to ON maybe once before having to kickstart the rest.
I suspect if I can get it on the road for a few miles that maybe it'll resolve the weakness.

Startup issues resolved. I must've killed the battery.
Problem: clutch, belt, something is slipping
I've tried two different belts, two clutches, and two clutch bells.
Belts are in similar condition, relatively new.
Clutches are in alright shape. Shoes are new. One drive plate is bent a bit and im trying not to use it.
Edit: springs appear to be installed correctly. The longer side of spring going into the cavern portion. Like manual says.
Both bells are in similar shape. One has a slightly deeper groove where shoes grab hold.
I have absolutely no idea why the clutch is still slipping even though I'm trying separate hardware.
I can get up to around 10mph then the RPMs skyrocket and the slipping occurs.
Inside right now wallowing in misery and learning more about clutches.
