Got everything and, oh man, you really hooked me up! Everything looks awesome! Thanks again! I can use the new rings from the 12mm piston on the used 10mm piston, correct? If the thickness is the same, yes. However the miles are so low on the 10mm piston and rings I would reuse them myself. Save the 12mm piston and rings for when you eventually upgrade the crank to 12mm. Okay cool. I'll stick with the used rings then. Any idea how many miles were on the kit when you got it? Seems to be in pretty damn good shape. Can't have traveled too far haha.

Please help... My piston protrudes from the cylinder, so using the piston stop to find TDC isn’t working. How do I go about this?

Anyone have the link that explains checking port durations from Vert? Can't find it anywhere...

I feel like instead of a forum, we should all just agree to do weekly rotating video conference calls where we just watch each other fix stuff and yell at each other about what they're doing wrong. Is everyone cool with that? Ready to shut her down Brent haha?
Seriously though, love having this as a resource, but it'd be nice to have someone here who has ported a cylinder before lol.

I prefer the method of checking without using the piston stop, less math involved which is good for me.

Never mind, found that link too haha.
Would I be able to answer my own questions so easily if I didn’t ask them? Jeeze

So far, I've got TDC/BDC and am now going to be attempting to check current durations

Does that gasket seem like it sits well with the transfer port ion the picture of the cylinder above?
Sorry, I know I'm typing an obscene amount of posts and am hard to follow lol.

So, I measured 181° port duration for the exhaust and I’ll be porting it to 185° to get me around 9k rpm in the lower hopefully. I’ll get it back to TDC and BDC and take a pic shortly.

I am using a base gasket. Don’t I want that installed when I’m finding tdc/bdc so that it will be the same when assembled?
