I have stock tao tao 49cc, after market exhaust, scrappys 20 mm carb,"good carb", with 35 idle and 78 main jet. Is this still too much jet for this scooter. I ask because hard starts. Slow take off. Spark is great, timing advance, but minimally. Oh , 85 and 80 where way too much.

I would recommend reverse drill bits from auto parts store and get a set of easy outs. Reverse spiral things. And of course buy alot of metric screws, I prefer stainless steel. Reverse drill bits will back the screw out as they bite.

And...my orange scoot got me to work,...then I got off at 11:30pm and proceeded to push it home until 1:00am.Such is life with the tao tao s.

NEVER EVER GIVE UP OR GIVE IN TO THE GY6! Did we give up when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor, NO. I just got my orange tao tao up and running again. Don't only do it for yourself, do it as an inspiration to the rest of us.

Start at stator, two wires, check with multi meter,SEE VIDEO, on you tube, from left of screen,stator video, do you have good ground, keep us informed.

Is it a 49cc. The carb might be to big, too much fuel. There is a certain flow rate that these engines will handle. Alos check your pickup at your stator, how are valves, set properly.

Does anyone have experience with these , or where to get parts. I need a cylinder, rings and piston kit. I have a 2007 Lance Vintage with 10.5 inch wheels .
