Nude beach ahead. Picked it up for $100 from a friend. First on the list is general maintenance. Changed all the fluids, checked the CVT, and all the basic bits. Then I took her clothes off. Striping down some more. Don't want that, don't need this. Emissions must go. Gonna weld that hole shut.

Congratulations on the new toy. I have the easiest, cheapest fix for all the generic looking plastic, get rid of and join the naked frame cult. I already did! Haha I love the look. I have to do some fabrication for sure. I'll put my mig to good use.

90GTVert, the owner of this site, has a thread on all the stuff he's done to a Tao Tao ATM50-1. Check it out. Thanks! I found this website because of his massive build thread. Seems like an awesome guy.

Hey! I bought my first scooter yesterday. I got a great deal from a friend. $100 cash for a 2015 TaoTao ATM50-a1 49cc. It didn't run when I bought it, but half an hour of tinkering she purrs like a kitten. (dummy didn't have all the wires connected.) It has a few cosmetic blemishes. Some cracked plastic here, some scrapes there. Overall I think I lucked out. I have some plans for it. Nothing crazy, but I really love the naked look, like a Honda Ruckus. We shall see!
