In my opinion V6 engines are thee most inefficient design of engine in cars today. On average most V6 engines offer the fuel economy of a V8 with the power output of a L4 lol. But I think a force fed V6 could get it done, but....ehh. However I think L6 engines are absolutely wonderful.. RB's, 2J's, L-types Most likely why most manufacturers are moving to Supercharged/turbo I4s

I drive my old rusty ext. cab '89 Ranger 2.9 5 spd. about 1 - 3 times a month. After the muffler/tailpipe fell off over a decade ago I never replaced them. Speedometer cable been busted since '05. It rarely leaves town. Lifters rattle pretty bad sometimes. I still love the way it howls at at 3000+ rpm.
I drive my brother's 2000 Chevy Prism 1.8 auto (Toyota Corolla) quite often.
I'm 63 and my personal vehicles have always been manuals except for my scooters.

That has seen more trauma then a little , totaled it via deer @ 60mph on I-95 pulled front end back with tree & chains then front clip. Then ran off road on icy road blowing sway bar etc off . Rebuilt that & still goin. If it blows up tomorrow ill just leave it there & walk away...

I own the smallest car here, why? Because I have had bikes for years, and the company I worked for was moving over 50 miles away. The commute on the GSXR i had at the time would be expensive in consumables and very cold in the winter. I also had not owned a car for about 10 years so would have to start a new insurance policy without any no claims, which is expensive. I also knew I would be moving to a city where parking is a problem, so a small car makes sense. Brought the smallest car I have ever owned a 1.0ltr Toyota Yaris, all of 67bhp! Fitted a cat back sports exhaust so now must make 70bhp The car only weighs 800kg so ok for the city. gets well over 50mpg around town and at 70-80mph on the motorway will get just over 60mpg.

Prob also because you're in the UK Paul. Here the Yaris is a 1.5L with just over 100HP that gets a quoted 30/37MPG. The only cars I know of here that claim around your 50-60MPG are hybrids.

IMHO, if you're going to drive a Yaris here, you may as well drive a scooter. Otherwise you may as well paint "Coca-Cola" across the car because that's all you're driving when you get that small of a car.

I believe so.. This one?
This is a boat engine someone made expansion chambers for. Pretty cool!
One of these would be fun
Put a modern sled engine in it or something close.

You can drive them on a bike licence or even a moped licence if you get it restricted to 28mph! Woul be great to stick a bike engine in one
