So on top of the $100 stator now I've got to buy a $130 hoca BBK
*sigh*

I think the parts here are through the nikasil, what do you think? you can see the small little ring that is sort of flattened out and another on the other side Actually, looking at it I think that is the smeared aluminum from the piston and the rest of it is missing nikasil coating?

I can't tell if that's a deposit or a chip. Clean it up, I've read here oven cleaner works well.

No oven cleaner at home and no 220 grit either closest I found was 320 grit.
New piston kit is like 50 bucks and shipped overseas so probably 20-35 dollars for shipping
honestly think its easier to just buy hoca kit from partsforscooters. I'm sure its on par with the stage6?

Sideways mounted head kept airflow shutoff causing everything to overheat, melting the shroud and piston.. Go to Dollar General and buy their store brand cheap oven cleaner, spray some in a cup and brush it thickly on the aluminum scuff area, dont get carried away with is as it does eat aluminum..Let it sit a few hours and scuff the deposit off with a ScotchBrite pad, reapply oven cleaner as needed, you'll know if its thru the Nikasil on the first application..

What Stage6 were you wanting and what was the cost for your motor?

What Stage6 were you wanting and what was the cost for your motor? the stage6 was the one I have in it now and it cost me like 165. I can't find it anymore though its shown out of stock everywhere think they stopped carrying it. Can someone compare stage 6 sport pro vs the hoca morini kit? I feel like the stage 6 sport pro didn't really work well with my tecnigas next-r because the power peaked around 9k and I thought the tecnigas and stage 6 both were higher rev items. How certain are you that the incorrect mounting of the fins is what caused this, and not lean jetting? btw, I realize now that I can install a BBK without dropping the engine so that's one good thing to come out of this.

Sorry mate to here about your troubles. I wonder if the combination of the head being on the wrong way around and you changing the main jet down to a 95 was enough to seize. I had to file down a little some of the fins on my bbk head to get the shroud to fit. Are both your piston circlips still there?
Yip the fins are the wrong way around. My bbk was a cheap Naraku

Yes both circlips are there, already took them out. working on getting the piston out atm. Yeah it could be the main jet too in combination. I'll look into getting a CHT Gauge installed next time to save me some trouble. What kind of speeds were you seeing with your naraku and what pipe? (also GPS speeds or indicated speed)

Well I only got it to idle , when I went for a test ride it seized. I think it was from having a small main jet. So im running it back as a 50cc for now. I have the Tecnigas pipe and 19mm carb.

Should've got the Doppler alien eye filter, screw open air filters not downing them just too much re tuning when weather changes,I run an 80 m.j on my mid race motoforce in the key west scoot and that's a little much but I done had a soft seize happen at 45 mph with cars on my ass at 6:30 in the morning, half awake soft seize isn't fun for your reflex's first thing in the a.m before you get a coffee,I hope it didn't scuff off the coating that will suck bro!! Get a cast iron if its messed up that's another reason I don't like nikskal coated cylinders cause once that coating gone your money goes don't the drain!!!

I don't think it has anything to do with the weather. It was just trying to retune after I fixed the exhaust leak or something. that combined with the fans facing the wrong way did it in. I think the hoca cylinder is cast iron. I found this too which is pretty cheap www.aliexpress.com/store/product/47mm-big-bore-kit-Cylinder-Set-with-performance-cylinder-head-for-Suzuki-TGB-Morini-AD50-Address/436449_2019343342.htmlany thoughts?
