I have a brand new 10mm needle bearing that I was planning on putting in the Baccio before it got stolen. I guess I'll give this scoot at least one brand new part haha. So that's $6 spent so far...

Thanks Moofus you're a good sponsor haha. The "hand hone" crosshatch turned out pretty nice (will post pics) and the Baccio piston was a strong runner before I did a BBK. I hope it works. If that doesn't work, the zip flip cylinder is in really good shape-factory crosshatch still. I'd just have to go to Harbor Freight and get a tap to make a new threaded hole to mount the exhaust as the owner of that one chooched it up.

Letting my Moto1 Ultra gray "base gasket" set up for a bit before installing cylinder...

Damn niz you are cranking the builds out, can't wait too see the outcome on this flip!!! Yeah I'm having fun with these 2t scoots. I gotta make some $$ to pay for my bum knee and still have scoot parts $$. Knee MRI cost me $200! That coulda bought me a decent pipe lol.

It looks like my Zuma the early one's had 14.64 gears the latter 13.25. The adly had the clutch behind the axel with shortcase gears but that doesn't look like shortcase clone plus the adly used a 870? Or there abouts belt. The Zuma used a 737 or somewhere in there belt. How far is it from the engine mount bolt to axel center to center? The Zuma is shorter than the long case clone Sent from my SPH-L720 using proboards Engine mount bolt to axle c to c is damn near exactly 13" Longcase clone same measurement more like 14"

New compression test after piston swap is about 95psi lol. That's with the e-start and I forgot to squirt a dab of oil in there. Now to see if she'll run...

I'm a dummy. I did that compression test without even re-attaching the exhaust manifold haha. I don't know what the compression reads now but I do know IT'S ALIVE! We've got 2 stroke smoke! Bad news is though, something doesn't sound right. I hope it's not the crank. Could be something on the stator side but I stripped the bottom screw on the cooling shroud. It's way too late for all that. I'm going to bed.

Nice work Niz. Sounds like you may have a quick turn and burn going here.

Hate to say it but I think there's something wrong with the crank I've got it sputtering and running a few times but something is binding and it's not on the stator side. I have a good running 50cc longcase clone sitting under the workbench I can throw in but I'd have to check tire compatibality etc. This motor seems like a good candidate for the 90cc stuff I have but then again do I even want this motor? It's a weird Minarelli with shitty gear ratio and no bearing support for the clutch... decisions decisions.

Have you checked the cvt? Tried it without the belt?

I have the little shortcase motor from the parts zip that *probably* has a good crank and bearings. But, damn thats a lot of work for a flip splitting two motors and swapping bearings and crank. Plus it had mucho damage to the piston and cylinder from a wrist pin failure so who knows what the inside of the motor looks like. A new 50cc crank is $80 sigh.

Have you checked the cvt? Tried it without the belt? Yeah, I eliminated everything- even the e-start clutch and spun the motor backwards with a drill and theres still undesirable noises coming from in the motor. Funny thing is it spins smoothly by hand- but that's how my 90cc motor was too and the crank bearings were wasted...

Here we go with compatibility issues again! I can't just throw my 50cc motor on and call it done because the rear tire wont fit the splines. It looks like this SMC is using those fricking Adly parts! If I wanted to be a real cheap ass this is what I'm considering: I'm also considering this because it would get me up and running with no parts bought or waiting on parts. This gets a little complicated so bear with me lol. The SMC rear rim won't work on the China longcase because the splines are different. Looks like this SMC has the same parts as an Adly! So I'm thinking of swapping the rims and tires off my personal scoot. But for this to work I'd have to put the original Adly gears back in my Scoot- o dear! I'll finally get to try out those 8:1 gears! On the downside I'd be losing my nice rims to a flip bike and get these boring looking rims on my scoot. Tires seem better so that's a plus. On a positive note, it gives me an excuse to check out these rims I found on Craigslist. They're 13" and came off a Vento so fit might be an issue. I'll be stuck with the boring rims on my scoot for now but ATM I'm more concerned with making $$ than how pimp my Daily driver scoot looks haha.
