This one is a special case. She has 3 kids with her Husband or whatever you want to call him. She needed a place to live and that's how it started. She was the first to say "I love you" and how she wasn't ready but she wanted this. Then it turned into I kept her prisoner and forced her to stay. Yeah, I went about some things the wrong way, but I never made her do anything or ever told her she couldn't leave. In fact I should have kicked her out a few times, which she tells me she was trying to get me to do. And I'm the crazy one? Ah well. Looks like busting my ass and sinking myself in debt to get her a reliable running scooter (because she couldn't afford to buy a car AND insure it) was my way of holding her prisoner. Better things are to come trust me. After the second one left i found a wonderful woman that puts up with me most of the time lol Sent from my SPH-L720 using proboards Well I'll be patiently waiting. Till then, I'll be getting greasy with the two scooters and wondering what to do with the other two sitting on my patio.

Oil seal came in today! Yeeha now I can get these tires swapped back around and get the SMC CL ad up for the Saturday scooter shoppers. This SMC scoot came with a small diameter drive shaft (don't remember the spline count) just like the one I found in the Adly ATV motor. Of course I swapped a china longcase into this scoot which uses the typical larger spline, so i couldn't use the scoots tire. The 90cc Adly on my scoot was capable of accepting this small spline driveshaft, so i swapped the tires on the scoots for a while.. The cheapest and easiest way to get this small spline drive shaft into the longcase clone was to order a somewhat weird sized bearing and oil seal for the transmission. Here you can see the difference in shafts: I popped the old oil seal, driveshaft, and bearing out of the transmission. Here they are wearing their oil seal and bearing: I swapped in the new bearing and oil seal... ... and threw in the new driveshaft.... Voila! Now we have a longcase clone tranny that has a small spline "Adly" or "SMC" sized shaft!

Should be a quick sell with how much work you put into it.

Running into a problem putting the Hoca Vari on. It's the right size, but I think the splines on the crank are too far gone. The tolerance is shit, I've been filing at the thing for the last half hour in the sun and can't get the back plate of the vary or even the drive boss over the beginning of the crank. Looks like I'll be putting a new crank in this puppy soon. That means I'll be laying a tarp down in my living room and doing the crank and BBK inside. *sigh*

Got a late start on getting the scoot up for sale today- my septic lines were all plugged up- again! It was a blessing in disguise though as I worked out a deal with the owner (I will be buying when bank shortsale goes through) to repair it myself for $350. Not bad for 4 hours worth of work and $40 in materials! Here's a screenshot and LINK to the the ad, and since I delete my CL ads immediately after sale, I've copied and pasted the text here. It may sound a bit familiar.... I am selling my SMC 49cc scooter. This scooter runs perfect and is CLEAN! This is NOT a CHINESE SCOOTER!! People make a big deal about Chinese scooters like TaoTao's, Peace Sports, Tank etc being junk- there's a actually a lot of truth to that statement- China manufacturing is very inconsistent and quality control is nearly non-existent. This SMC scoot is manufactured in Taiwan and is in the same quality category as Kymco etc. Honda's and Yamaha's are the next step up being from Japan, but expect to pay triple the price! If you know anything about scoots you know that a 2T (2 stroke) scooter is the most desirable. They're getting harder to find since most new scooters sold are 4 pokes (4 strokes). I am a scooter hobbyist and I love this SMC scoot. It has the 2t Minarelli Horizontal motor 1E40QMB that we "scooter tuners" love. Driving one of those underpowered 4 stroke TaoTao's can be downright dangerous on these FLA roads. This 2t will get you through the intersection faster and keep up with traffic better which is great thing when riding your scoot. I drive my scoot every day back and forth to work as it's great cheap transportation and just plain fun! I love filling my gas tank and getting change back for a $5 bill. No insurance needed or motorcycle endorsement required. Stress free! Scoot gets about 75 mpg. and goes around 40-45mph per the speedo. Oil injected so no mixing required- just gas and go. No oil changes or valve adjustments required like a 4 stroke either. Now you see why we love this SMC scoot so much? There's a TON of performance parts available. A couple performance parts and you can have a 60mph screamin scooter here if you're into that sort of thing. Scooter runs great, very reliable. Has electric start and kick start. Has plenty of storage as there's a glovebox in the front and a large (carpeted!) storage area under the seat as you can see in pics. Well maintained and very clean! Most scoots require some things to be upgraded as they aren't that great from the factory such as fuel lines and vac lines etc. This has all been done already! This scoot is "pre tuned" for you. Clean title in hand. Scoot is ready for it's new owner. I want to keep it sooo bad, but the baby is coming and this is my 2nd scoot so the wifey says I gotta sell it. I do this everytime I want to sell something- I make sure every screw and bolt is in it's place, tuned up and running perfectly, and all polished and waxed to look sexy! Now I really want to keep it haha. It's been suggested that I shouldn't take any less than $800, but I'm ready to sell it quickly so $650. No trades please. Have someone drop you off and drive it home! Feel free to contact me anytime I am a night owl so calls up to 11pm are ok. I prefer a text first as I'm usually working and phone calls are frowned upon and I rarely check my voicemail. Text or email preferred first.. Happy scootin!

I had to file the crap out of the Hoca plate and sand the inside of the drive boss to get it to go on when it was brand new. Annoying that a new part doesn't just fit right, but hey they're not exactly BMW's haha.

I didn't want to sand/file the vari out of fear of ruining it. Hmm. Let me try again and file the plate a little more and see what I get. Right now it's going maybe 1/2 " down the splines and stops. I even busted out my Rigid Multi Tool with a sanding head just so I wasn't grinding too much off the spline. Thanks for that, I'll see what happens. I don't want to use the old drive boss, it's longer than the Hoca and I want to see what the Hoca will do. Back in the sun I go! YAY FLORID@ !!!
