Thank you for that I've been looking endlessly for that gasket nothing ever comes up that I need lol. And all the measurements I've seen for the shafts are shorter so I'm wondering how mine grew and what I'm going to need to do to get the right one in there. I'm almost wondering if I'm going to need to just use the gears my bike already has or if I should even use this case because its impossible to find the things I need for it. Its an lj1pe40qmb or so it says on the case. Through searching all if find is Chinese results and Russian.

Its just like any other CPI style Minarelli long case engine. Almost all parts will interchange. Some have subtle diffs. I think the output shaft spacing is different than that cover bearing accepts. I should have caught that before i shipped it all and i do apologize for the mistake. The shoulder on the output (wheel) shaft is hitting the inner race of the bearing correct? If so the easiest fix would be to swap the bearing or the output shaft.

I got to thinking more and am pretty sure i know what the deal here is.. If that gear cover says CPI on it anywhere i bet i swapped it out with the one thats on my drag scooter Snoopy? Last time i put the gears back in Snoopy i was in a hurry and had three engines apart. I just went out and looked and dont see any CPI logos on this cover so i am sure it is the factory cover for that engine.? Again, i am sorry for the mishap. With all the slight diffs between engines i should have, but did not catch this one

I do see a cp1 marking on it maybe that was their cpi marking? Its possible there was a mix of parts I know I've done the same with car parts. I used to have the whole gm section on the Hollander interchange stuck in my head.

Sounds like Robert has it figured out, but I went out a little while ago and did real quick measurements and a quick pic using a CPI shaft I have here that's been interchangeable with all of my long case Chinese engines so far. If you add all of the smaller measurements up you'll find an 0.3mm discrepancy vs the total measurement I took, but again these were quick.

That looks almost exactly like mine just a few of the measurements would be off. The splines look longer on yours and the gap between the splines and the larger ring looks a little longer on mine. The gaps between the ring and the gear appear to be a hair different too. I think 2stroked hit the nail on the head honestly because everything seems perfect except for that shaft to bearing clearance. drive.google.com/file/d/0By2rcNqfITkKYl8xOXhwTHQ0dWs/view?usp=sharing Thats my shaft at the same angle as yours

Thanks Brent! Also chehystpewpur, when you measure get the OD of the part that is supposed to go inside the bearing and the ID of the bearing for me will ya?

I will try but i can't accurately measure id of anything with my calipers. They are atleast .20mm between the two sets of forks it has so its not going to be perfect. Only the side that closes on things is accurate.

Whats the extra bearing that measures almost 25mm ID for?

That was the rubber oil seal for the transmission that sits on the large part of the driveshaft.

Ive looked and thought and looked and thought and the only thing i can come up with is there must be a difference in that cover somehow? The way the output shaft and support bearing line up. All i can suggest is sending them back so i can look at them and swap covers to send you the one for that engine. Here is a pic of the two different style output shafts i have. Other than the splines themselves everything measures out the same

Thats what im guessing too. When would you like me to ship then back? I dont get paid for another week and a half but I should have enough left to ship it back atleast. It almost looks like the larger ring on the driveshaft in your pictures is in a slightly diff spot but it could be the picture its self.
