The screws in the gas cap on my Zuma backed out and ended up int the tank with a bunch of little springs, washers and the locking mech. You wouldn't believe how many parts are in a Zuma gas cap. Yep I remember that haha. I took another look at the gas cap and sure enough the thing is falling apart. Good thing the key set comes with one...

I spent a little $$ and ordered THIS KEY SET from ebay since the seller lost the key and simply bypassed everything with a push-button switch wired directly to the starter relay under the seat. Whenever I hear of a lost key or whatever I always double check the VIN # on the scoot and the title- they match $39.00 Shipped. Dave got me a deal on a lock set for my triton clone Sent from my SPH-L720 using proboards

The muriatic acid worked fantastic for cleaning the rusty tank! I left it in there for a while, but I don't think you really need to. The filler neck flash rusted and simply brushing the acid/water mix over it with a toothbrush removed the rust instantly. Now to flush the heck outta this thing...

It's alive!!! Yay- I was just starting to really hate this 4t until I finally got it running haha. I flushed the gas tank repeatedly and rinsed it with distilled water. I then rinsed it 2T gas/oil mix so it wouldn't flash rust and finally left it in front of the heat gun for about an hour to dry out. It looks brand new inside! I removed the keyed portion of the ignition and after that one can simply switch the scoot on/off with a phillips screwdriver.

The "Bee scoot" fires right up and runs nicely now, but what a turd! I've also noticed that the e-start doesn't "catch" sometimes. Hmmm....

Did I mention that this thing is a Turd!!? 4T sucks! lol LMFAO! Why? I happen to like my 4t so far, though I haven't opened it up yet so maybe that's why I still like it lol.

It's a huge difference getting off of a 2T and onto a stock 4T. It's hard to complain about 80-90MPG though. I rode around for about an hour and a half last night for $1.11 worth of premium and that's WOT basically everywhere and from every stop.

I just happen to have one foot in the shade right now haha. Speaking of clanking valves I thought I heard a bit of ticking after a @2 mile ride today- I wanted to get my hands dirty on a 4t and was even going to get a set of feeler gauges and do a valve adjustment or whatever but then just decided I got my bit of 4t experience and it starts and runs good so I'm messing with it... but now I think I hear a ticking.... maybe I'll have to do a vid and see what the 4t guys think.... I see the light! I'm going toward the light!

I know 4t's have their advantages but it's fun to knock 'em haha. I basically just had dumb luck as a scoot noob and bought a 2t as my first scoot. I've thoroughly enjoyed my 2t's but I'm an open-minded guy so I'm giving this 4 poke a shot lol. It is a nice quiet runner and I can't help to be reminded of an ATV when I hear it run. But now I know why I see those TaoTao guys over in the bicycle lane- this stock 4t would be scary in traffic!

I'm with you. It's fun to knock them but they have their benefits and their place in the bike lane. Lmao! I will have to get one one day just to get familiar with them.
