I used to deal with Scrappy Dogs almost daily and I know that they are really cool people that go out of their way to make their customers happy. Mistakes happen with everything in life, I know I've made many, so when a company like Scrappy's steps up and tries to resolve it, like they are here, then you know they're someone that you can deal with. My two pennies.

I don't know, this topic is kinda turning sour. Sounds like a situation you should resolve privately IMHO.

I gave my opinion of a transaction between myself and a business in the forum for doing so based on my personal experience.

ps. since they have refunded my money without wanting the part back, anyone who wants it can have it for free, just pay the shipping.

I must have missed that somewhere. If that is not customer service, I guess I don't know what is. I have never had anyone do that for me. I am really impressed. Bill PS I think that is nice of you to offer the part to someone for just the shipping.

I honestly think they just don't have good communication or something, but they did resolve it more than fairly in the end, and the tree is on it's way to a new owner already, the only scoot I have it will work on has a good tree and I already have to keep rearranging odd parts for two scooters.

Just for the record here. Our Sunny steering stems have 27mm clamps for 27mm forks which are standard size for sunny style scooters, and as described on our website correctly . They are not 26mm as claimed in this post.

My calipers say 26mm, and my 27mm shocks say 26mm, so the ones you sent me are 26mm, but hey if you want to prolong this matter instead of growing up and moving on, that's your prerogative little boy. By the way, I like you're call out to other vendors on that other forum full of your trolls to not do business with me.
Here's a hint, you and your vendor pals on that forum charge twice as much as Amazon vendors for the same crap. I only did business with you because you were a forum sponsor, had I done my research first, I would have never given you an order.

Perhaps the class of people on the forums are different than you. Hey I order many items from the internet, that is because I want or need them. If something happens and the product not usable for any reason. I contact the vendor, if they refund my money and I don't need to pack a box and get it to the post office. That is a perfect situation. I no longer have any gripe or right to be upset. At the end of the day they no longer have my money. John

This where he gives out part of my email address (private information) to identify me to other vendors and encourages them to refuse to do business with me if they get an order with that email address, so yes, they did. I have the screen shot of the post cached. itistheride.boards.net/thread/9804/first-last-time-scrappydog?page=2&scrollTo=119354This is you joining in the playground spat: itistheride.boards.net/post/119366/threadI have that cached as well. Now then, let's get something clear here troll. The ONLY thing I asked Rick Main aka scrappydogscooters.com to do was send me a return label for the tree as it was his mistake. I neither requested or even hinted that I keep the part and get a refund. He refused to send the return label, I made it an issue, it was his choice to refund and tell me to keep the part. There was no scam, that's just him being a whiny dishonest little child who got butt hurt over a bad review. That tree was then given to a friend in Ames, Iowa who has his own project going, wasn't hard to find someone to take a free anything. I was not notified of the refund by Mr. Main or his employees, PayPal notified me which is how he's claiming I posted the complaint after he refunded my money. He knows that too, he just seems to forget that. Just as keeps foprgetting to mention that he repeatedly refused to send me a return label. Now then, as I stated elsewhere, I will be more than happy to drive over tomorrow and get the tree back and even give Mr. Main the opportunity to speak with him just so there's no question, and then Rick can send me a return label, I will happily put that tree back in the same torn free priority box full of wadded up musty newspaper he shipped it in and send it right back to him and then he can issue a public apology for accusing me of theft, or admit he's just a dishonest little child. And you have no more need, nor do any of your troll friends have any need to further involve yourselves in this matter since it doesn't concern you and you only wish to try and start it up here since I in fact quit the other forum to get away from the troll army and deleted my account, but I like how the admin hints otherwise, quite the circle jerk you folks have over there to be sure. I get a kick out of admins who think a threat of banning people makes people do anything but laugh, especially that sad little troll zoo. If Mr. Main has an issue with me further, he can be a man and call me, if he continues to post his crap, I'll just call him every time he does and bring it to his door.

When I first ventured into the scooter scene several years ago 99% of my parts came from Scrappy via their web site or Ebay store. They were the only one that had a DC CDI that fit my Tomos scooter. I have not had any issues with any of my transactions with them.
I will say the fact that Scrappy's presence here and active in this community says something in my book.
I understand how things may not be the same for others, but it sounds like the issue has been resolved.

I thought it was too, then Mr. Main, owner of scrappy decided to keep it going and has now decided that I actually committed fraud against him and scammed him out of a free triple tree, even though all I ever asked his company to do was send me a return label so I could send it back to him, seeing as the mistake was on his part. Not once did I ask to keep it or even hint at it, and despite Mr. Main's dishonesty, it was given to a guy in Ames who's hacking a scooter himself. I can still get it back, Mr. Main has been offered the return at his expense again, he needs to either take me up on it and shut up, or just shut up period. He also thinks that I deleted pictures of his tree as part of the scam, when if you look, my entire postimage.org account was wiped, I lost every picture I posted during the whole build actually, not just his tree, but if he wants I can upload them again and repost just to address his paranoia I guess.

Think an ant on the back of an elephant. Maybe a fly on a horse with the muscles twitching to get rid of the fly.

And yet here you are, rod and reel in hand after lying and stating scrappy did not encourage vendors to boycott me when he in fact did.
Nice banner by the way, I see your not a forum sponsor here but you are on that other circle jerk troll zoo, why is that and why are you trying to cause trouble here?

....and yet here is that pesky picture above in this thread showing there was no 'mistake' or 'mis-advertisement' on our part or on our website, shown with a set of new digital calipers. The sunny style steering stem clamps and forks are 27mm. If you got a 1mm difference with your rusty old analog calipers, that is just not anyone's fault but your own. Our posted policy, and is the same as anyone else, is parts must be returned for refund or exchange. It is not our responsibility to pay for your return if you got the exact and correct part you ordered, which you did. If you ordered a sunny steering stem, and we sent you a cdi, or a wheel, or even a hunter style steering stem, we'd humbly apologize and send you a return label asap. When a claim like this is made that is not verifiable via the phone or pictures, you have to return the part yourself. If upon the return we see something is wrong or some fluke part, you would have been compensated afterwards. You were told this during the short periods between your loud and obnoxious tirades on the phone. The reason you were refunded in full without a return is because you would not stop calling and making insults and attacks to my phone gal up front, just like you are doing to other forum members here, but much worse. The final straw was you making personal attacks on my wife's character without even knowing her. You know the names you called her. The reason I followed up with a picture and our side of the story here is because it is our review forum, and people look here to see what our reputation is. You got refunded, kept the part, and yet you are still not happy and offered no apology of any sort, but keep up your tirade against us, and against anyone else here that can reasonably see that you are in the wrong here, but you want to call them "troll's" and say we're all in collusion against you because we're some kind of gang out to get you for whatever reason. I agree with another poster, this whole thing from you is psychopathic...
