I'm guessing it'll be a 139QMB 4T, but I don't know. I had a SunL. Hated that thing. It really was subpar to the other 4 Chinese scooters I own. Hopefully all SunLs aren't like that, but it's the only one I've worked on.

Well i picked up the SunL today get this it has 2 miles on it! The seat still has the factory plastic covering it!! Its main issue is the wiring harness its a MESS the dude that owned it before me was a class A tweeker... From what i understand the bike had electrical problems since the day it was new dude tried to fix it. He got it running but said something about a fire in the wires he was all over the place trying to explain what happened. So i have one heck of a project on my hands but this will be one SWEET scoot when i'm done with it! But other than the fact its torn down to the frame all of the plastic has been removed everything looks like it did the day it was built there is no rust on the frame not even a scratch on the paint. All plastic panels look brand new. I didn't do bad at all for $100 oh and it also came with a nice Bell motorcycle helmet. Overall im happy with the scoot just wish dude didnt tweak up the wiring harness..... The very first pic all loaded up and ready for the 300 mile trip home! Pile-O-Parts Last picture before the 6 hour drive home Back of the VERY dusty helmet. The front note the missing visor This seat has had the factory plastic on it for 8 years now! Front of the scoot see the spiderweb of wires.... One very dusty rear fender! Headlight asy. Handle bar cover note the parts that cover the brake levers and your hands i like that! *Sigh* This is a headache in the making! 2 MILES!!! Oh yes! Well this is how you can tell when the fuel has been drained from the carb! Again one very clean carb for sitting for almost 8 years! Overall pic of the frame and wire mess. What is this???

What is this??? That's trash. Plug the vacuum petcock into the port on the right side of the intake and loop a tube between the two forward ports. My first scoot was a JMStar like that one. I liked it cause the entire back end comes off easy for maint. The "Handsome Boy" according to scrappy. They sell a complete wiring harness for $29.95 www.scrappydogscooters.com/Handsome_Boy_parts.html

I have no clue. I've seen those on 150's too. If I had to take a guess I'd say it's more emissions crap. I always removed that thing because I thought it was stupid.

I agree it looks like a vacuum leak waiting to happen! Well i drained the old fuel out of the tank nice piss yellow color. I then filled the tank with fresh fuel and drained enough out for it to clear up im going to let that set in the tank until tomorrow drain it all out and inspect the tank. Im going through this scoot 100% before i even attempt to start it its just in too good of shape to half ass anything. I just can't believe what i got for $100 this is a brand new old stock scoot all kidding aside this one is NOT for sale i will give up the GMW before i sale this one!!!

My old SunL had wiring nightmares too. Blew fuses, melted wires, messed up all sorts of stuff. I pulled my hair out for a bit and finally just bought a new harness for I think around $35 at the time and never looked back. I'm not saying don't bother with the current wiring, but if it doesn't work out at least check prices on a new harness.

I ordered one from Scrappy last night for $35 shipped to the house! 35 bucks is well worth my head not exploding!

I just looked at the harness scrappy has listed on the HB page and it says "GY6" so now I'm wondering if it's generic or model specific? The fact that they don't list a harness on the Sunny page is a good sign. I guess we'll find out.

Ok just got off the phone with scrappy the harness is universal but the one under the sunny style is closer to the original then the gy6 one listed under common parts. As long as i can get the tach figured out everything else should be easy enough. Its GOT to be better than whats on my poor scoot now.... Hey 90GTVert did your sunl have a tach? If so was it hard getting it to work again?
