You can take the speedo cable off the wheel puck and stick it in a drill to test the speedo/odo. I think you have to spin it counter-clockwise.

Idk if it helps but that's exactly what a Taotao VIP looks like. Plastics frame they're identical copies.

Hey 90GTVert did your sunl have a tach? If so was it hard getting it to work again? Mine didn't. Never owned a scoot with a stock tach, but the signal should come from the + side of the coil like any other tach I'd think. |

Looks like a good buy! Theses are my favorite "flips"- body and seat is in good condition, just needs some elbow grease, couple parts and some know-how to get it up and running. Good luck with the new wiring harness! This scoot will have "sweat equity!"

Good luck with the new wiring harness! This scoot will have "sweat equity!" Well the more i look over this scoot i dont think im flipping this one  its in so much better shape than my GMW! I think this will become my daily rider and the gmw will be for friends to scoot around with me. W00t i haz parts!! New spark plug boot fuel/vac line for the SunL windshield 49ccscoot.com stickers Thanks 90GTVert!! New front brakes for the GMW new belt cuz i know i will need that on the side of the road someday  and a CDI sleve to keep that little bugger from bouncing around on the SunL! Also some 1k clutch springs for better launchability!  Windshield.  Better view of teh parts  |

Also do i need to upgrade the pilot jet with that airfilter? I feel like i should i mean if the main jet needs to be bigger why not that one right?

Okay another $105 down more parts and tools..I like tools Volt meter,Snap ring pliers so i can fix the kick start on the SunL,Lights for the RX50,Feeler gauges that go down to .0015 so i can get the valves just right on both scoots!  Fuel filter 2 spark plugs 12 volt outlet for the SunL can O Pb blast it was on sale for 1.99!!  some more gear oil for the scoots Hose clamps yep i think im good!  And it looks like i will have more time to work on em because my full time job got cut to part time today... Meh i don't care. So i got some of this to drink and say F-it!! Between him and his brother Jim i should be just fine  |

I got a pair of snap ring pliers from advanced auto parts. They fell apart during my first build.
