It's technicall not ready to sell yet but I put up the CL ad anyway. I almost forgot I was planning to keep the Polini clutch out of this! Hmmm not sure if any of my stock horizontal Mina clutches will fit this prebug but I'll know soon enough! Here's the Craigslist ad: tampa.craigslist.org/psc/mcy/4844238288.html ...and a few shots of the 49ccscoot sticker

I've made up my mind to sell this scoot. I know it's a nice keeper but I really want a Dio! I finished up everything but the final carb tune and maybe CVT tune but it's raining cats and dogs today so no tuning for me The speedo wasn't working and come to find out the tabs were broken off the green gear inside the speedo puck but a few well placed screws has it working again! I keep looking at the front of this scoot and it just doesn't 'seem' right. It seems too bare and boring. i don't really feel like getting into another paint project on this scoot so I dug around and found a piece of black vinyl left over from my vinyl wrapping projects. I did some 'European racing stripes'. It's kinda subtle look but I like it! Scoot should be ready for sale any day now- I plan to ask $900 for it. Looks great! You certainly have the touch when it comes to paint and graphics.

Thanks fellas! It's stopped raining now so I'm tuning the carb a bit. I had an 88 main jet in but it was too rich and spitting and sputtering. Dropped down to an 80 and now she's screaming around the neighborhood! This one is harder to do wheelies- it pulls super hard but has a 'hesitation' from twisting the throttle to when it pulls. I wonder if the stock metal reeds vs. the carbon fiber reeds the other one had has anything to do with it? I'm keep tweaking the carb tune till it's as good as it can get then check out the CVT...

I came across this pic on my phone from over the holidays. I got the $50 bearing puller set from Harbor Freight and pulled the bearings off the bad crank. I put the crank and bearings in the freezer all day and when I took it out I hit the bearings with a torch real quick and used my drill with a socket on it and zipped the bearings right off the crank like butta! It was really really easy. Came off easier than I imagined with this slick tool!

Called on 7 different scoots for sale on Craigslist. Not one person answered the phone- wth? I sent emails and texts and voicemails to them all... How many calls does it take to buy one scoot? Kinda like how many licks to the center of a tootsie pop lol. One may never know....

I really want to get this Daelim Cordi for $300 (or less) for a possible flip but maybe a keeper since it's basically the Dio engine I've been wanting to get my hands on. The deal isn't dead but the seller is available by 'email only' and after a whole day of waiting and a few emails back and forth I still haven't nailed down a viewing time and address. I hate "email only" on CL! tampa.craigslist.org/hil/mcy/4829290212.html Of course I always have my ears pinned back when it comes to flip buying time so I'm going to pick up this Derbi Atlantis at 11:15pm tonight for $120! Yes kinda strange I know 11:15pm scooter deal but hey, whatever! It has a slight title snafu where someone already signed in the buyer section but this seller already has the affidavit paperwork worked out so I'm doing the deal. Actually kinda gives me an idea since there's an Adly Fox available that I passed on around Thanksgiving with the same scenario. If this works out ok then maybe I'll have to reconsider that Adly! This title snafu pretty much tacks on $96 right off the bat since I'll need to transfer it into my name to have the title ready when I go to sell it. I could possibly sell it while trying to explain to the future buyer about the affidavit and save myself the $96 but, eh- i kinda doubt the average Joe scooter buyer that buys my scoots wants to deal with all that... tampa.craigslist.org/pnl/mcy/4813860087.html

Well here she is: Derbi Atlantis. Now that I have it in the light it's in pretty rough shape. I guess that's what $120 gets ya!

Doesn't look so bad. I'm sure it will be an easy job for the Nizinator....

Shouldn't be too bad as long as I don't go crazy and try to repaint every damn body panel like I've done before lol. There's a lot of cool little details about this thing I like and I already grabbed a wrench and started poking around in there- I gotta finish a few more details on this Pre-bug and the Craigslist ad is already up! I retained the Polini clutch from the Pre-bug and sure enough a stock Mina clutch fit right on- well kinda- I need to grind some material out from the CVT cover to get it to fit back on now. I see there's a tiny puddle of fuel starting under the scoot so I guess I have a fuel leak now! The very last thing i need to get done on it is to drain the pre-mix out of it and re-hook the oil tank line back up so the new owner will have fully functioning oil injection...

I also did some CVT tuning to try to make it wheelie better; shaved the faces of the variator to try to get the belt down further toward the drive boss, and took the 5g Dr. pulley sliders out of the vari and put 4.25g roller weights in. This is the second time I've been disappointed with the performance of sliders... Hopefully 3rd times a charm as I have a few different sets to try out now thanks to IwikeTuddlz adding in two sets as a bonus when I bought his Athena BBK! I also put the clutch with the 90cc contra spring in to try to keep in a "lower gear" a little longer.. I know, I know too many changes at once! I haven't driven it yet to test all this out as I need to grind some material out of the CVT cover before I can even get it back on...
