No circlips on this piston either sheesh. I was thinking if these are anything like the horizontal Mina's I'd pull the reed cage off and seal it proper only to find a broken fiberglass reed. Glad I caught that- it would've driven me batty trying to figure it out! The reed cage off the Athena cylinder appears to have some nice aftermarket polka dotted carbon fiber reeds.

Wow nothing like having a wrist pin walk at 10kRpm! I had a weedeater do that one day i pulled it apart to find out that no circlips were ever installed at the factory. Transplant Complete. She's alive!! Fired right up on second kick! Fiddled with the idle tune for a bit and so excited to take her out for a spin I nearly rolled her out of the garage without hooking up the rear brake cable haha.  |

Oh yeah- We've got wheelies!
Even with low pressure in the tires! The carb still needs to be tuned- ran best with choke on but it was a short 5 minute test run. She yanked the front wheel off the ground no problem and this is the no-name BBK and ZX pipe!
Curious to see what the other scoot will do with a new (probably Athena) crank, Athena BBK and LVGP pipe!

He Shoots He Scores. Two BBks for one nice. Must have been the same knuckle head who worked on both and leaving out the wrist pins.  Probably thinking he could reuse the old ones and when he realised that new ones where need he said screw it can't wait I'll take the chance. |

This is a scoot I definitely wont let my daughter ride! It pulls itself up onto the back wheel no prob! It still needs carb tuning- it's acting like the fuel bowl is running out of gas and I think I'll throw the stock airbox on from the other scoot for now- this one has a free flow filter- as I don't have any jets higher than 100 atm.

At least all is working out now Not working out too bad  I am left with an engine with a bad crank, scarred cylinder, and broken reed lol. In that box of parts I got there is a Huuugggee aftermarket intake with a reed cage + reeds that's way bigger than the stock ones. It's just begging for a nice fat carb to go on it |

I checked scootertuning.ca and sure enough the Mina horizontal and verticals use different cranks. I pulled the trigger on the Athena crank $99 shipped on ebay from a guy who mistakenly bought it for his horizontal bugeye Zuma.  |

Keep tellin her your gona sell the Rocketa.. Then dont ever sell it... I mean yea post it cl, but list it for 8k! When no one spends that kinda money on a Rocketa say "babe, i have no idea why its not selling, maybe we should keep it, its better that way.
