...so I want to be able to do a few little mods to be able to at least get to 60/65kmh easily enough! So any help on the best mods or what not would be much appreciated. Also do you have any links of where you got your CDI? Thanks I can only tell you what i have experienced and every scooter is different so no guaranties. I needed good hill climb power since my working place is a bit up the hill. That is why i changed the torque spring to get more acceleration and response on the hills and a better takeoff at the start. I would start with the CDI first and see how that goes and then continue with the roller weights. If that is still not enough continue with other tuning parts. I use this CDI from Daytona (other CDIs might do a good job as well.) japan.webike.net/products/519844.htmlthat alone should give you a top speed of 60-65km/h, right now your CDI is cutting your top speed around 54-55km/h. You could remove the washer that is next to the boss for a bit more top speed. For more info on this look at my topic or check out the tech library. My Torque Spring: (for more power on the hills) japan.webike.net/products/526486.htmlChanging the exhaust is not a must but it would be better if your $ budget allows it. I use this one: japan.webike.net/products/21788978.htmlMany people also change the roller weights to get better acceleration. My current setup is 3x6g + 3x5.5g this was the best setup for my stiffer torque spring. Normal torque springs could use 6x5g or even lighter setup. CVT tuning is kinda tricky since many factors come into play. Trial and Error is unavoidable to achieve the perfect setup.

happy new year tsimi !!!! It seems you are becoming a Jog pro now. It warms my heart to see that lol... Sorry where are my manners, HAPPY NEW YEAR to you too! Yeah you know how it goes looking for parts here and there and doing that you rely on model numbers, engine models and so on and you catch one or two things on the way. He says it is a 5SU-010, that is the exact same model as my first one and that is a February 2003 Model. It is important to know what model and series you have to find the right parts. To know what the exact year of the Jog is i would need the number (stamped in the frame) that you can see when removing the small cover on the inner front cover.

Hi I just had a quick look at the model number and it is LPRSA32159A120490 /
Is there anyway you can use some sort of computer software to rewrite the program on the stock CDI? It's going to cost a couple hundred dollars for me to get one here in Aus so it's not the cheapest exercise. Thanks

Also is there any other way to get the front pulley off without a impact wrench or a special tool? I'm a rookie so I don't have all these tools to be using haha

I use an automotive oil filter wrench to hold the variator then a standard wrench to loosen the nut..

I did some more inspecting on my jog today and need some help!
First off i had a going over my cvt again and measured the belt width and it was around 15mm and from what ive read before its supposed to be 17mm?
secondly, what the the extra little pipe that comes off the side of the exhaust? it seems to me that it could be for emissions because it runs to a hose then into a little white box under where you put your feet? if so, it is necessary to have to all still installed or could i remove it? also on the exhaust what is the little bolt on the bottom of it?

That is a very long number. usually they are more shorter and they usually start with SA16J-xxxxxx. Here is an image which shows where to find that number. remove the square cover with a screw driver and tell me that number. A new CVT belt is 17mm. Having a 15mm belt is not unusual that happens by time when the belt wears off. The advantage to have 15mm belt is a faster take off since the belt can drop more closer to the drive boss. The disadvantage is the belt cannot travel all the way up and therefore giving you a lower top speed.

tsimi I did find another number similar to what you mentioned on the CVT casing it was A147E-120539 that could/should be your engine number mine says A125E-xxxxxx so your engine is a A147E. Never seen before at least not here in Japan, then again i am not "the" Jog expert too.
