It's still a jog engine so I don't feel so bad commenting all over your thread... But yeah. No hole mods. Bolted the flange to the cylinder first tight. Then left the bracket loose that was connected to the exhaust so it could slide over. Pipe stuck out only on the bottom case hole. So that's were I used the spacer and longer bolt. Once I figured that much. The bottom bolt was a little tight to turn. Next-r 100cc. Japan might just have regulations on restricted pipes. I know this sounds crazy. But would you be intrested in trying the next-r 100cc on your malossi MHR rep? It doesn't have to be anytime soon. And I'm sure your C16 is doing a great job. But I'm thinking the next-r might have power towards higher rpms than whats stated or dyno'd. Anyway if you don't it's fine. I just stumbled across it on my polini corsa by happenstance.

tsimi , instead of bending it, put spacers behind it. Didn't see the next page and that O Verse had mentioned spacers :/

'O'VerseMy pipe is for 50/70cc not 100cc. Unless you want to send me a 100cc pipe. The only law we have here and the cops might care is the sound output in db. The pipe shouldn't be louder than XXdb. I am sure my Yasuni C16.07 is louder then it should be. When I was driving behind the cops the other day they were all the time looking at their back mirrors. lol spaz12No space for spacers. In one picture you can see that the welded bracket is tied down directly to the engine case which is the perfect position. If I squeeze the bracket, which is approx. 2-3mm thick, in between the engine case and that welded bracket it pushes the pipe outwards which then puts pressure on the flange which again might cause something to break or crack around that cylinder flange area. Kinda hard to explain in words so I guess I'll just grab my SJ4000 cam tonight and takewa movie that explains it better. Or imagine the pipe once connected to the flange and the bolts tight snug the pipe becomes stiff as a board and can not moved up, down, in or out anymore. Try to push the pipe in any direction puts pressure on the flange bolts.

Whatever it takes to make a strain free mount,,bend, file, flat washers,etc..If you cut the flange, the strength is gone!Want to ride in an aircraft with the wing spar flange ground off??Not I!!!!

Haha, i am certain the silencer has no bearing on tuned pipe lenght. I just had to post that pic, when i say i ride the shit out of my 90 i mean it! I repaired it back and it broke again. So, i shortened by about half. I used to do this with my atvs because a 12 o'clock wheelie would rip it to shreds. Let me get you a pic of my current technigas pipe, hahahahaha i thought you guys would get a laugh out of this. The expansion chamber ripped and the silencer fell apart, on separate occasions of course. After a quick redneck repair its been solid for a few months now.

I'm gonna throw this out there and guess that the restrictor in the header is the difference between the 70cc and the 100cc. I guess we won't know till your measurements come back. Unless the header flange and hole diameter is smaller.. EDIT: what size is your stinger hole?

I'm sure your too clued up to get caught out by this, but you're not trying to fit the bracket with the exhaust studs already tightened are you? I needed to leave them rather loose on my Suzuki so the pipe could pivot around until I had the bracket bolted up.
