I bet it's a true pleasure to ride that thing! Belt alignment is perfect too! The plug looks a bit light, but thats no problem if it doesn't hold back or hasn't seized up yet I really like this jog. Nothing over the top, though a powerful street setup and everything is sorted out perfectly.

Thank you Lucass2T. Yeah, it's a nice setup. Not too weak but also not too crazy like PIG or spaz12 kinda stuff. It is fun to drive and also to service it from time to time. Having the right components gives you the security you need to crank it full open from time to time without worrying if the crank or bearings will break apart any moment. P.S. Did you had time to check about the other thing we talked?

You ride with the shroud on right?
Looks very clean
I am super pedantic, by 1000 i would have the piston out and measure the tolerance, potentially replace piston/rings.
Ran the MHR rep, one ring version on a zip for racing in our first ever bike. Won a 2hr endurance race and probably pulled about 20hp woth it as it easily kept up with everyone else during the sprint races. Lots of potential !
If you have access do a quick sandblasting of your cvt surfaces for better belt grip. Also do the clutch bell.

You ride with the shroud on right? Yes of course I use the shrouds. I just took them off to get access to the cylinder head nuts to torque them down. I am sure the rings are just fine. I don't drive "like I stole it" style. At least not always. Here in Japan in the land of engines and factories you can't find shit! No milling, no grinding no blasting or only very expensive blasting. You said you ran a single ring application? Did you use the MHR Team piston?

SO I think back in the days they had: MHR 80mm connecting rod MHR Replica 80mm 1 Ring MHR Replica 80mm 2 ring which had I believe 5 degrees lower port times MHR Replica 80mm 1 ring MHR Team 85mm MHR Team Replica 80mm IT'S CONFUSING Thank god the market tanked afterwards and they discontinued a lot of that stuff. All I remember is 190deg port times and a non-modular head as well as a 1 ring. Don;t forget this was a water cooled piaggio shortcase, diferent story. (can you tell I am mad in love with Malossi?)

That's awesome Tsimi about the cylinder. It's amazing how clean that whole motor is.

Looking good tsimi. That is damn good belt alignment. Mine have never fit that perfect. I also agree with Lucas that plug does look a little light in my opinion, but if it runs ok than thats good. So when are you going to make an attempt at the speed list??

Hi all
I am just about to buy a Stage 6 Street race 70 and a new 10mm bearing. My plan is to run it with the stock crank and carb ( I have jets o play with) for now. I do have a Yasuni Z pipe and a Dayton filter. I may remove the snorkel out of the air box to help with airflow.
Can any of you see any major problems. I only ride 2 to 3 times a month for maybe 30min each time (15min one way stop for a few hours and them back)
Thanks guys

Removing the snorkel is a good move. Also don't forget to upjet the carb to match the cylinders need for fuel and air.

Hi I ended up placing an order now for a malosi sports 70 and a new small bearing. I will let you know when it all gets here and how I go putting it in.

Hi My new cylinder is here. Now i will have to read up on the installation process. Can it be installed with out disconnecting the back end away from the scooter. Yes. Remove the lower bolt from the rear shock and let the scooter drop all the way down. That way you can remove the cooling shourds, otherwise they will get stuck against the frame. Use a very very thin layer of silicone gasket on the paper base gasket. Torque the cylinderhead down with 11nm in a cross pattern. Let the engine run and warm up for a few minutes without the cooling shrouds on, let it cool off and then retorque the head bolts.

You probably won't be able to use those carbon reeds. If I'm not mistaken your Jog should have the angeled reed block which has larger reeds. There are different ways to install the BBK. One method would be to remove the entire engine which means you remove the rear shock, unhook or remove rear brake cable, remove the carburetor from the intake, drain the oil tank empty to remove the oil hose, remove the pipe/exhaust, remove spark plug cable, remove CVT cover if you have that clutch lock thing, remove the mounting bolt. Careful when removing the mounting bolt! The frame drops! So you better tight the scooter with some hooks or rope or whatever you have to prevent the scooter from dropping down or tip over to the side. The other way would be to install it with the engine mounted which makes things really difficult do to lack of space around the Jog engine. Not sure if you have seen the pictures of my install. Check page 3 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/12255/jog-cv50r-70cc-polini-installAlso check out Brents tutorial. A lot good info there too. 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/556Did you buy a BR8HS spark plug?
