So I contacted a few places looking for the PG pipes and they won't be able to get them for several weeks. The place mentioned on here just won't return my calls or emails. I did order a tecnigas 100cc RS2. While I'm waiting on that I figured I would try to make my own. I still have more work to do but I think they turned out pretty good considering I only used my hands a a hammer to shape then. Stitched them up with a flux core mig, as I found my oxygen tank was empty for my torch.

I got some more work done on the pipe. Got my oxygen filled so I used the torch this time. This sure is time consuming... Maybe I'll have it done this weekend and I can start it up.

That looks great Ryan! I have tried my hand at pipe building and failed miserably lol. Are those brazed?

It's both brazed and welded. I used the welder first but then I got my tank refilled and brazed. It would have taken a very long time with just the welder as the material is thin and would be easy to burn through. Trick is just ALOT of overlapping spot welds. The flange and first few bends are just welded. I'll post the finished product later.

Video:) . Next is to figure out a silencer. Either the pipe or the porting or both are working well, it hits good. Probably made the neighbors mad and went for a lap around the block my ears hurt.

I just threw some larger jets in the carb and went for a little drive, this motor has a lot more power then others I have had before. The carb needs to be tuned but I'm not really going to bother to tune 100% until it gets warmer out, it will just change anyway. Should I be safe with 145 main and 48 pilot as a starting point on the 28mm keihin? I found a old post I made about the last one I had (autotech 103cc) and that one had 138/42 same carb no porting and V8 exhaust. I still have a video of that one for comparison.

I'm not used to the Keihins or really big carbs. Sounds reasonable, but check your plug to get an idea of how it's doing.

Thanks Brent. I'm working on the silencer tomorrow, is fiberglass cloth for body work the same as exhaust fabric? Will it work?

I tried the pipe insulation just wondering if the other mat will quiet it more.

What is the average OD can diameter? I've only ever had PG and V8 pipes I have nothing to size up against.

I base the silencer OD by the ready made end caps which are automotive freeze plugs..The largest I can find are 2 3/8" OD,thats a Ford 'FE' big block 390 rear cam plug.I always make the silencer core larger than the stinger so it has no tuning effect too.. Its all in the pipe building thread in the tech section.
