Hi Fellas!
Well I finally got my grubby little mitts on a Yamaha Jog! lol. I must say it's a little rough- aren't they all?- but I got a fantastic deal! I also got a little extra nugget in addition to the Jog. More about that later...
Here's a screenshot of the CL ad. This scoot has been sitting here for a few weeks now and I think this is a case of no pic- no sale. Check out the price for all this stuff- that is not a typo!!
Well now you may have an idea of what the "extra nugget" is that I picked up
Here's the Jog. It has a really old FL title- a brown one- haven't seen one of those before...
It's missing the rear wheel and exhaust. I had no idea these Jogs were Mina Horizontals...that means this will get a 70cc kit and pipe!
Ok, so what's this "very interesting extra nugget" You ask? As far as I know there aren't very many of these in the U.S. at all....
A 125cc 2t scooter engine! EDIT: This is NOT a 125cc motor! It's just a regular ol' 49cc Morini... what the heck?? Well there goes that excitement haha. This guy seemed very knowledgable too- although there were a few things he said that didn't seem accurate but I'm not the arguing type. Just goes to show why 49ccscoot.com members are the best- we are informed! Unfortunately I let this guy get my hopes up haha. I had never seen a TGB engine in person so I figured I was getting something cool!
Yep- that's a 2 stroke! Cool!
As of this writing I haven't really done much research yet... The guy said he used to own a scooter shop and import all sorts of scooters. He was able to import these big 2t's before all the EPA hoopla and crackdown. I seem to remember someone a big 2t on ebay recently for $900 since they're practically impossible to find here in the U.S. Here's the engine code: (CH5*607151*)
EDIT: I got all excited for nothing. This is just a regular ol' 49cc TGB Morini engine
Oh- did I mention what I paid for these two items?? $125 total! Muwahahahahaha
