$700 is a bargain for that scooter! Including a BBK and pipe and a nice body polish. Well done niz76! So now let's talk about more important things...like...what parts are you gonna buy with all that money you got now? You know you have to invest fast before the wife takes it all. Haha u nailed it! I have had my eye on a Polini CP 21 carb....

Now, now...don't be so shy using all that green of yours. A polini carb is "only" $100 that leaves you for plenty more. May I suggest a Malossi Oversize CVT MHR Overrange La Furia Rossa 2013 Kit

I love my '13 Malossi OR on my high revving 70cc but I'm not sure of the benefits with the lower rpm builds. Gary @gforce believes it's best for 12k+ rpm builds. Nelson is working on one and has posted in his build thread. My 103cc is large spline or I'd throw the OR on it and test. I think with your current set up you'd see better shifts and response but for the real gains you'll want a higher revving pipe.

I don't think the OR is good for huge gains on these milder engines. That said I had the old version around and used it on some mild stuff and it is nice. It's refreshing to not have a hassle to figure out how to get more out of it, how to mod this or that, etc... it just works. That's my experience though, others have not had such luck. Right now I just have the OR vari with a stock fixed half, Hoca rear pulley, and Bando belt. That isn't a bad setup. You don't get the extra low end or high end that you may see with a longer belt that the larger real pulley can control, but still I can cruise around at under 9000RPM at 60MPH. The main problem is the rollers have to be so heavy that I was filling them with solder since they don't appear to sell 19x15.5s in over 10g, at least where I looked. Prob could switch to a stock 139QMB spring though. Currently using a 1000RPM Koso 139QMB contra spring.
If all you're looking for is to polish the current setup out, then the OR vari may be good for you or the whole CVT. If you want a lot more speed or power, continue on the path to find a good exhaust.

90GTVert 2TDaveSo spending $350-$450 might not get you the result you hope for? That is a lot of dough and for that I would expect to get some improvement no matter if BBK or pure stock 2T scooter. Too bad there are no try outs for CVTs sorta thing. So we got Malossi 2005 Kit around $350 Malossi 2013 Kit around $420 Stage 6 Kit around $350 Polini Evolution 3 Kit around $340 So which one should now niz76 buy? Which gives you the best performance for your $$ ? And what is the difference between the 2005 and 2013 Malossi Kits besides the red coloring?

For the money I'd guess just an OR vari for around $100 or in his case specifically perhaps find a pipe.
The 2013 kit uses an aluminum driven pulley with cooling aids and they say the surfaces are coated for longevity and belt grip. The 2013 variator is said to be redesigned as well for more consistent RPM. The pulleys are supposed to be different diameters in the 2013 kit as well.

Oh yes lots of juicy info- I love it! My 90 is doing pretty good right now- needs some cylinder work to raise my low duration numbers I think, but it's fast and it's reliable and my homemade "mini O.R." is performing good still... I'm thinking a better sized carb- and oh yes- the other goodie I need is a V force reed setup to try to take advantage of the trenching better? I've been thinking of building another 90cc I can go crazy on since mine is very reliable and seemingly always toward the high side of the CHT as it is...
