Ok, I've taken a lot of time off work lately and my bank account shows it! Time to get back to the grindstone... This scoot looks like scrap metal sitting on the garage floor without even any wheels on it! haha. I pulled the engine and gave a real good cleaning up in preparation for it's BBK- a 70cc Athena. This BBK came in a box of three Minarelli BBK's that I bought from ebay for 50 bucks. This Athena cylinder had one of the exhaust mount holes totally stripped out and wasted- it looks like someone might've attempted to repair it once. I drilled and tapped it to accept a larger M8 x 1.25 Bolt.  Got the BBK all buttoned up, now it's time to choose an exhaust since it didn't come with one. I decide to put the $100 Ebay special expansion on it since I got it back with my stolen scoot. It was all rusty and nasty from sitting in the woods...  The silencer looks like Pooey too...  I decided to just clean the silver paint off that I sprayed it so long ago and just go with the original blue since it matches this scoot pretty good. Making some progress!  |

Got a bunch done on the Artistic Spec. It's almost complete. Cleaned nasty tank with muriatic acid. Drained the really really old oil from tank. Mounted motor and fired it up! Runs good but LOUD. Needs more packing in silencer. It sits too low and the pipe scraped at a tight turn so I put a taller shock on. Replaced leaky petcock that is beyond repair. Went out and did some wheelies! Almost complete. I'm really liking these colors together. I even added a gold 'Drow Sports' decal and it looks pretty sweet.  |

Nice one! I kinda like those old Jogs. It's a strange mix between the European Yamaha mint (front side) and Yamaha axis (back side) like i've got.
Is the athena BBK the one with the single oval port or the bridged one?

The Athena BBK's Ive been using have the single oval port. I did use a Airsal BBK once that had the bridged exhaust port...

Those eBay pipes are actually pretty good on the stock jogs! I like the tan with the blue too. Nice niz. You should be able to flip it easily...
