Havent done anything with the scoot, still need to adjust the float level and replace my variator plastic guides, my variator ate them up! And since being at niz76 house I lost 8mph top speed, figure that's from the guides not being there
I cut my leg open with a pair of hedge trimmers at work Friday, ended up getting stitches and also had an x-Ray to make sure I didn't knick my tendon in my knee, go figures I did. Dr says I need to stay off of it as much as possible, and not go to work for a couple weeks.... But I'm gonna go to work and tell my boss I can't walk the property's like I usually do and that I have to trim all day, fun lol
I was amazed that it lost so much speed just from upjetting the carb! It was flyin when it was almost seizing!
I was quite shocked as well!!!! When we upjetted I only had power until half throttle but I was still hitting well over 45 on my way home.
@iwiktuddlez I have been "bitten" by the trimmers multiple times, drawn blood, but this was the first time I actually got cut open from them. And then the tendon.. Fuck that lmfao

Well today I decided to go mess with the scoot for a bit, install the guides for the variator, didn't get to that, ended up tearing the stock airbox off and putting my open air filter back on and re jetting the carb, checked compression and I got 150, put a new plug in and also swapped cdi to my aftermarket one.
Threw the jack stands on, revved her up after warming up and getting the idle in tune, I hit over 15k rpms to where I only had a bit over 10k in my other cdi.
Also was messing with the clutch and realized the nut on the outside of the bell was not tight at all, unscrewed it with my fingers, so my plan today or tomorrow is to swap springs to put my yellow contra and red clutch springs on and see how easy she wheelies!!!

Long day working on the scoot, I installed a Stage 6 Medium spring that Sitticuss hooked me up with when I bought the engine, threw in some Hoca Medium clutch springs, then assembled the clutch back on the engine.
Then I tackled the variator, when I purchased the engine it came with a Hoca Variator, and I took variator guides from my stock variator on my 70cc engine temporarily to put in, turns out they don't fit so I have my stock 50cc variator in for probably a week until I can order new guides for the Hoca variator.
I then went ahead and tried to tackle my headlight/tail light problem. I re-read @90gtvert guide to the aftermarket Chinese Voltage Regulators for like the 10th time, and realized I had the wiring wrong, so I swapped the 2 positive wires and then fired up the scoot a few minutes ago to take it for a test drive, I got lights and my battery is not hooked up!!!!
I also need to put heavier sliders in, I believe I have 6grams in there now and I feel like I'd need about 10grams, maybe 9. The heaviest I have is 8 so I'll have to modify them with some tin foil!!
Don't run it too long without the battery being hooked up. It could damage the charging system. Even having a dead battery hooked up is better than no battery at all.

Ok, I plan on charging my battery tonight then plugging it in tomorrow morning! Thanks for the warning
Going to look at paint tonight, just to see what's available and an approximate cost because no matter what, I'm painting this beast next week!!!!

Rode a couple miles today & it's revving way too high, I put 8gram sliders in and a tiny bit better. I'll have to stuff them with some tin foil or maybe even duct tape since its heavier. I'll see what I've got.
Also, where can I buy the variator guides for the Hoca?? Parts for scooters does not sell them...
PFS does sell them, you just have to know what to look for. The Hoca uses the same guides as a 139QMB stock variator. Part # 151-37. Scrappy and other places carry them too.

The local scoot shop closest to me buys from partsforscooters so I'll see how much they are charging and if it's more than 10$ I'll order them and some other cool stuff

Picked up the slides for the Hoca variator today!! 9$ at the shop, rode to work and on lunch I put my stock cdi back in so I wasn't at 8-9000 rpms at 30-35mph. Max rpm my tach recorded was 17k this morning. Way too high lmfao, niz76 I'll share some rpms with ya!!!!!
Tomorrow I'll change variators and make my rollers heavier too!!!

2 of the 3 bolts that bolt the fan onto the flywheel came out and broke my fan into pieces, the high powered fan that Sitticuss hooked me up with because he noticed a crack in the stock fan, wondering if my flywheel threads are stripped, scoot will be parked at work overnight until I bring in more bolts and my spare fan tomorrow!
