This is as close to stock 50cc as I could get it to pass the local safety check. Only mod is a big intake/carbon reeds and 28mm Oko with the back cut out of a stock air box. 50 pilot and 125 main with needle on the top notch and running rich but good enough to get me to the check station! 45mm crank and 6.74:1 gears Honda Metropolitan triple tree, Honda Dio front rim, 200mm rotor and caliper, takegawa aluminum stem clamp So…I ripped her apart… Busted Lower bearing race for triple tree. I also found out it wouldn't work with the metro stem because the venus one is too small I tried to use this bearing separator to press the bottom bearing race off the steerer tube. That didn't work. I don't want to cut the steerer stops… So I bought a set of bearings and races from a honda metro off flea bay to use the matching stem/race. And I wait…

I did a disc brake and 12" wheel conversion on my Venus using a front end from another small frame Chinese scoot and some creativity with bearings, races and a spacer.

The old honda elite e forks fit right on, and all the elite guys around here use the honda dio zx or the metropolitan tree to convert their bikes to disc front. I thought it would work easily, and it should (with the parts on order), I hope. I followed your build and loved the spoke rims. They make mini motard spoke rims that are 10x2.15" that would work on ur set up. You probably would be a lot more stable. EXPENSIVE! but would look sick! I found em on flea bay.

That's 90gtvert's(admin)thread and scoot. I like the spokes too but I went 12".

It's all coming back to me now. It was 4/20, my dad came by to celebrate, then left. Somehow this happened…frame painted green, v8 pipe sanded down, removed v8 logo in an attempt to appear legal, and clear coated with vht high flame spray paint. This is the Polaris 90cc case to go in. This is the 54mm aluminum cylinder -- gets hot in Hawaii.

is is from autotech And It looks good to me. Casting is real clean. Exhaust port is 26mm. I'll open it up to 28mm (to match my v8 pipe) and polish it. I asked my scooter guru and he said the shape of the exhaust on the piston side should work well once it is ported and flowed. Should help with ring life or heating ( I forget). My main attraction was it is aluminum and it gets hot in hawaii. My friend just built a cast iron 54mm and he was running hot (430 degrees on the cht) with 160 main jet with a 28mm oko. We'll find out in a month or so , I hope, I work a lot…

The 54 kit is for a 42mm stroke. I'll be using a 45mm full circle crank. I've got a 1.2mm base spacer, several base and head gaskets of various thickness to help me get set up properly. Any body have a recommendations for a starting point on a proper squish band clearance? Mahalo…

I'd say around .8-.9mm for your squish. You'll want to check durations and compression and adjust accordingly but I wouldn't go lower on 100cc.

You can go a little lower on squish clearance, what Dave posted is good for a street engine so you don't have to worry with a little carbon buildup or gasket compression.
