Hello, im thinking of buying the JOG90 Longcase engine that scrappy dog has on the website. and i was wondering if anyone has bought one from there before and if anyone can give a good review of the engine. also, does anyone know what size carberator and jet i would need to run a stock pipe.

Check out project 90. Brent had a stock 90 build and test. Lots of info there that you can use.
A few on here have bought those from scrappy. From what i can tell standard 90 clone motor. 50mm bore 42mm stroke. The 50mm cylinders tend to be on the mild side but you can work with them or go 52 or 54. Should make a nice street motor

im still debating, i made contact with scrappydog and they said they only have 2 left. i want one due to the fact that i wouldnt have to machine out the case for the 90cc build from a 50, but just doing a 70cc BBK with the supporting mods would be cheaper and leave me more money to work with. i dont know, i do already have a 150cc gy6 that i got for a "hot swap" conversion, but theres just something about the 2 strokes that i love. i just cant make up my mind.

Once i road a hot 103cc I was hooked lol. I snag the 90 plus motors when i get a chance. They are few and far between so if you want one buy when they are available or wish you had later. I know you can make more power with a 70cc but the 90 don't have to scream to do it. Once you have the 90 you could always build a 70 at any time

I've always considered the 90cc+ stuff perfect daily driver material- Like Moofus mentioned you can get the higher speeds (with the right gearing) like the high end 70cc stuff but at a more reliable RPM's around 10k or even less. Parts last longer for a reliable streetable scoot and that 90 grunt to boot!

Got one myself at the end of last year from scrappy dog. Don't regret one thing about the engine. I weigh 260lbs. The torque alone is worth it.

after weighing my options and budget, unfortunatly i probably wont have enough cash to purchase the engine. if i didint have to pay car insurance, then id have plenty to 90cc, carb and the BBK for the 1e40qmb as well. ill have to make a decision before my insurance expires. which is on may 2nd.

scrappy usually orders more when they run out, they take a while to arrive coming in from china and in some cases taiwan. i almost bought the 200cc GY6-B engine they have when mine blew but decided to build the one i have now. i still use them for a lot of my parts, always fast to ship and i never had anything come wrong or defective.

I don't think it's as easy as just placing an order for large quantities of the 90cc 2Ts anymore. At least this is what I gather from hearing a couple of dealers talk about them.
