Ya its new it came with the scoot only 12 China mi. I got the DLH perf variator.it came with 3/5 3/7 3/9 ga rollers if I used say 3/5gr and 3/7gr would that be like me 61/2gr? Or how would that work?

Using 3 5g and 3 7g rollers would be comparable to 6 6g rollers. Just add the 2 weights and divide by 2. 5+7=12, 12/2=6

Yep. AlWAYS use top quality belts.
The cheap ones are a waste of time. I do a LOT of belts and unless you get a Gates or Bando, it will probably fail in no time.
There was a brand called Jerry Baker but they're gone now. Their belts were about 1/2 way between good belts and cheap belts.

You need one of these 10 x 10 canopies.
Walmart has em cheap. So does Harbor Freight.
That way you can work in the rain.

Took scooter for a ride to the store like 7 blocks just about every time I had to stop at stop sine it wanted to die out until I babyed the throttle then it would come back to idel anyone what could course this?+ from half throttle to full there's nothing it won't rev no hier or go any faster ? thanks for all the help guys

What size main jet?
Try lowering the clip in the needle to the bottom and see if that helps.
If not, raise the clip to the top.
Could be the carburetor still isn't clean too.

I'm using the carb that came with the scoot.it don't have a clip.I sent for a 19 mm off eBay hope it has one .that so called 20mm I got has one. Should be getting the new one any time.main jet is 75.

Update.well I went out today and put the orange cdi on started it up ran good seemed to start up better.then I took off the CVT cover and took the stock variator off weaighed them they were 5.1gr took the new DLH variator on I put the3 5gr and the 3 7gr rollers that came with it put it back together and went for a test ride the revs were down now like they should be has a slow takeoff but it'll work until I can get better slider weights.only went about 18 blocks then went home to pick up tools.I said well hell I'm going for a ride SO I stared out got 3blocks then it happened I heard like 2 gears grinding I think its in the CVT.I pulled in the side road that was right there shut it off got off and looked it over tryed to start it and all the starter do's is spin.tryed to kick start it and it fells like its slipping gears.? Any ideas anyone I'm not going to pull the cover off today I'll get right at it in the morning.I used a impack to tighten the variator beck down so I don't think its that any advice or ideas would be great guys thanks a lot.

I couldn'ttake it I had to go take thecvt cover off or it would have bugged me all nite.now I really fell like a horses a.. because it was the variator nut it came loose and was hitting on that kick starter thing that go's over the variator nut I no what I did wrong I didn't put any slack in the belt before tighting it down  yup its a 2 Headbanger.At least I hope that's what it was.I'll do it right tomarow. |

Sounds like the belt got pinched between the vari faces while tightening the nut so it didn't get tightened all the way down?
