Welcome! I don't run my scooter naked, in fact the only person I know who does is 90gtvert (I think he keeps the front panel that goes in front of your knees on, though) also there is a member here who runs an icebear maddog which is a ruckus replica.

Naked scoots are the best IMO. Mine is my favorite by far of all my scoots. So much easier to work on, basically no plastics to break, comfortable since I put the footpegs where I wanted them. A front fender or some sort of plastics as you see on mine are almost a necessity. Otherwise you're gonna get covered in whatever is on the road. Even with the plastics shown below, without a fender I still get stuff thrown up at me from the road at times (wet and dirt roads). Here's mine : I'm thinking my TaoTao will end up naked too sooner or later. One bit of advice if you do footpegs is to make them fold. Mine don't on the one above (I call it T2) and it's worked fine since it's tall and the scoot is narrow, but on my TaoTao I welded pipe to it to make footpegs so I could stretch out more. They are solid and it is not cool if they hit the road while turning. Levers the tire off the road abruptly. You can find folding pegs cheap enough on eBay and amazon an katastroff just posted a pic of his in his build thread.

I like the idea I've considered it myself, but I like the design of my scoot too much from the net:

Naked scooter from Fude Elegance 4t. Welded mount for 12" case. No blinkers, just bare minimum. Easy for maintenance and just fun to ride. Minor mods coming (Headlight etc.).

thanks for the pictures guys today I started the motor build will post picture of it tomorrow taking longer than I wanted I got the scooter in a big box basically with the motor torn down and a lot of parts missing Im currently waiting for my valve cover but amazon says it wont be here till next Friday I have installed a 50mm bbk and a new head the head it came with seemed stock just slightly stiffer valve springs so I tore it apart and ported the head in all the restrictive places to give the flow a more efficient rout a lot of sharp turns in the head and I ground the valves for more flow making sure I didn't touch were the valve seats and reassembled it also ported the intake and intake space also installed after marked exhaust new carb and aftermarket cone filter my next step will be cutting up the cvt cover since the original one had the kick star shaft broke out of it after this I will extend the motor about 4" then will mount the motor and then the real build will begin I plain on building it like yours 90gtvert but I plain on lower the handle bars and the seat and sliding the seat farther back also plain on using two led head lights side by side and using motorcycle drag bars

Doin your own thing is whats scootin is all about. I kinda have that love/hate thing goin on with my ruck clone. Only panel is box hiding battery etc. But its a good place for my misfits skull decal.
