Good morning guys.... Well, i think all the parts are in for the s9.....(pump cover should be here sat.) 1. Are the target #'s gonna be the same with this style engine? (think these engines are mina based?.. DONT QUOTE ME... 2. Since this exhaust is "better", will the #'s change... for me anyway? I have a heat gun to try the bearings with this time around, instead of the press. ;D :thumb: I hope to get lots of input on this build guys...(hoping since different type engine helps this, plus it being a l.c s9 instead of the zx/dio clone..(exact match engine btw) I will post pics later of the engine when removed and started....Any input will be greatly appreciated guys, thank you in advance for your assistance

I think the S9 is a Morini engine, not Minarelli.
The durations you are shooting for will depend on your exhaust. You have the match the cylinder to the pipe to get the best results. It had a Technigas Next R, but you said you were looking to change that in the beginning of the thread. So what pipe will you be running.
The Next R is supposed to be built for 9,500RPM peak, pretty much like a Leo Vince ZX.

Those engines are a breed of their own by Kymco as far as i know.?. (cant remember the engine code now) But they do run well and last forever. Same as the Cobra, People, Etc....Only a L/C version. CVT parts are interchangeable with GY6 stuff to that helps the prices on those goods. Malossi makes a good iron BBK for it.

Hey guys.. Thanks for the replys...... I do actually have a cast iron malossi bbk for it already.(did have a airsal on it) !st... HOW do you know if a alum.cylinder is useless?..... supposedly the one i have isnt any good but it looks like a honing would fix that..... I will be using a technigas rs2 on this scoot. (unless john comes into play.. ) This pipe definately gets better reviews than the LV ZX... I know it's still not a yasuni but i have this in hand too... The list for this is malossi cast 70 bbk malossi delta clutch malossi multivar technigas rs2 pipe aftermarket intake/arreche 19mm carb That is what i have now, also new malossi brakes all around, new cdi... I still need to deal with a reed cage for this one... WANT a vforce but man, they are high priced....(i know,i know, so is the rest of this list... ) Thanks for the correction on the engine, was thinkin mina but...... yeah, the s9, cobra, ppl share the same engine(kymco)... Luckily this one is L.C :nana: So, i may want a higher exhaust with this pipe huh?

Hey Larry,Why do you want to split the cases?2strokd has been running the dogpoo out his stock bottom end for over a year now!I think you shoul inspect the bottom end carefully,if it looks good, start measuring your durations! :thumb:

Hey guys.... Well john, i did look at it pretty good..(i think). To me, it seems solid, ready to go... One of the reeds are chipped, so i need to order these also)... I was wondering how much case porting there is on this compared to the ZX... It looks ALOT bigger from the get go anyway. (different engine of course) Your idea really sounds good to me john.. :thumb:  If not really any porting i may just do that. (still need some #'s tho. : .....(of course i posted some of this on another forum also; Sorry if i am repeating)...

Check how the cylinder base matches the case with a base gasket. If its close,I'd run it as is.You'll still want to check port durations and do a leak test on the assembled engine. That otta be a sweet ride!!

Hey shaker. Yeah, i finally have all the componets for the tester.. got the bulb from cvs. :thumb: . It's a cheap/cheesy one of course but it found a leak on the ZX engine... .. Oh my, i just thought.. The intake on the s9 doesn't have the rubber "snorkel" slide on type.. It has the bolt up flange. :stumped: . Maybe i dont haver a tester for this one.. I seen another that someone made to fit these types. Any ideas?
