Got a 5 pin coming from the spree. New 5 wire for a jog. Guess I could just order a new coil, cdi, plug combo.

New motor mount in the way of the stock carb(electric choke). Home depot'ed an extension out of 7/8 dishwasher/garbage disposal tubing. With a 1" plastic spacer. Got the Athena on.

You guys scare me with these Spree swaps!Guess it'll be good for straight line work, but how will it act in a heavy side load?Sorry for throwing this up,but I worry about the riders safety..Tubing would be many times stronger in all directions, but would be harder to fabricate..

Yeah.. A couple more bars and welds couldn't hurt it or the overall weight of the bike. I think I'll finish putting it all together first then see where I can put them. There kinda great to have around. Just pull tie all the new performance parts to them.

According to the manual primary troubleshooting test comes back negative for resistance like it was an open circuit. Secondary same thing. Test at plug according to manual.

Try unhooking the black wire from ground and see if it sparks...

I'll give that a shot. Everything else works. Lights, blinkers, starter turns over, cdi blinks when trying to kick it over. What else could it be?

Disconnect the exciter and pickup wires and check for output while kicking/cranking. Hopfully at least 0.3VAC on the pickup wire and 50VAC+ on the exciter wire.

Checked both exciter and pickup per video instruction. Thank you very much by the way. Both check out. .4 on pickup and a little over 54.0 on exciter not to mention traced all wiring back to its proper location...... Stumped.

According to the manual primary troubleshooting test comes back negative for resistance like it was an open circuit. Secondary same thing. Test at plug according to manual. So have you tried a different coil? Have you checked for ground on the kill wire, which would normally be the single wire with a female bullet connector from the CDI?

Tried a newer coil. Which wasn't giving a resistance reading. Went back to stock coil. Will be checking for ground on kill wire now..... Neighbor helped out (understands electrical a lot more than I do obviously) and tried to jump the coil with a positive lead. Sparked (ONCE) but that was it. While I'm checking ground on c.d.i. I'm gonna strip all outer wiring protective housing and see if there's any loose or damaged wires present. Then re electrical tape the whole harness later if problem solved. Just got the previous PO to send us the proper paperwork for the Title last week due to losing the original. But I'd like to avoid having to re wire the whole bike up if possible. Man Brent if you can think of anything else please let me know. The 100cc waiting on the main jets from treatland. So the sprees what its gonna be for now.

Son of a bit$#. I had the two wires from the oil tank sensor connected to the coil . And the two for the coil hooked to the oil tank. . We now have spark . Battery is charging. shout out to my neighbor for spotting the obvious wire color coding that I missed.
