The more I look at the front of that motor, where the cylinder goes, the more I think it's a variation on the Minarelli. Easy way to solve it though for sure would be to take a Mina cylinder and see if it fits on there. Maybe a friend or a nearby shop has an old junk one lying around that you can have, or borrow so that you can test this? But I wonder, how big is the small end bearing in the connecting rod? This could cause a slight problem if it's not a 10 or 12mm. Ugh, I don't even know what that is and what a bearing is... how do I check? Looking at the ports and the way that BBK LC is on the photo, the more it looks like the rest of the malossi BBK I use.

I'm looking at the pics but I have no idea what I should be looking for. My intake is on the left more when looking towards the rear of the scooter. I'm pretty sure Kymco isn't minarelli or morini it's their own design right? The small end bearing is the wrist pin that goes inside the crank, on the part that inserts into the piston. looks like this: It let's the crank rotate freely in regards to the piston Also, AFAIK morini has only been used on a handful of scooters. Mainly Italjet formula, suzuki address, TGBs, I think a Derbi, and of course the SR50 I believe used morini for some

sai, It looks like the Malossi cylinder will work for your motor. You are getting it from scooterpartsco.co, yeah? Make sure you get the crankshaft for the Super 8 though. Now you'll just need plumbing. I'm thinking that you'll have to go with an electric pump as I'm not sure if the mechanical pump from the Super 9 will fit on your motor. BTW, it was sorta fun trying to figure that motor of yours out

And yes, I'm getting an electric pump and leaving the air fan alone. Ooooh, crankshaft + bearing + seals... which one should I get?? I've been looking for them.

Ah, scooterwest had it on closeout for $120 so I got lucky. I just can't figure out which crankshaft + bearing + seal is the correct one for my bike though.

Okay, so the two versions I spoke of, I'm thinking that maybe the differences might be in body panels, or something. Either way both the Super 8 50 2-Takt KF10AA and the Super 8 50 2-Takt KF10CA use the same crankshaft. Here are three examples: www.racingplanetusa.com/kymco-super-takt-kf10aa-engine-parts-c-2_21356-1.html?lco_all=234,175,171,169,173,131,133,125,179,127,139,177,183,225,181,129,201,251&lma_all=242,274,300,196,204,263,251,208,259,269,327,275,194,231,210,195,203,201,265&co=131&newcPathco=25 Here's 2 places for seals and bearings: www.racingplanetusa.com/crankshaft-bearing-naraku-heavy-duty-incl-seals-kymco-horizontal-p-172-1.html?backcPathco=25&cPath=2_21356#.VaoMoPlVhBc www.ebay.com/itm/CRANKSHAFT-BEARINGS-OIL-SEAL-KIT-for-KYMCO-Super-8-50-Super-9-50-2-Stroke-/181264810516I couldn't find any of those on scooter west. I don't even know how you find anything on scooter west...

Well, are those crankshaft and bearings the best one I can get? ps: I can't believe I'm actually changing 90% of the stock parts like this. thank yoi again for helping. It comes to show... I'm not good at doing research

Well, I've been stuck at home now for a month with a broken foot so I have plenty of time for research The best bearings? More than likely not the best but you don't need ceramic bearings or anything like that. Will they be good enough? i think that they'll be just fine. Though I'd probably trust the ones from racing planet before the ebay ones. Sometimes you just never know what you're getting into with ebay stuff. EDIT: They both appear to be the same exact bearings. Go figure.

And no , I don't plan n giving eBay my business. For the crankshaft, I heard that Athena makes some of the best? Do they have one that fits?

The cast comes off in a couple weeks and hopefully back to work soon after. Going a bit stir crazy, but the forums help occupy a lot of time so I'm just peachy.
I didn't find an Athena crank in any of my searches so far.

I usually do image searches for what Im looking for. Like, I've been typing in, 'crankshaft kymco super 8 two stroke' and then look through a bunch of images. I'll usually see some sort of description next to the picture and if it's close then I'll go to the page and check it out. Then I just move on. it takes a whole lot of time, but I've been able to find many, many things this way.

Just remembered that Ive got a super 8 engine in the garage that Josh at Scooterinvasion sent me to use for a pipe build for him.I built a C21 using the super 8 and he put it on his super 9 project("Cloud 9"),bolted right on..I can trial fit a Mina cylinder to the super 8 if y'all like after I get off my saturday work.Best I recall there are no GOOD super 8 or 9 pipes to be had, thats why I built that one for Josh..I'm getting these threads mixed up and can say that a recut/fit of a Mina pipe would net a decent setup.Since Ive got the super 8 still,I could fit up something for you if needed..
