Just remembered that Ive got a super 8 engine in the garage that Josh at Scooterinvasion sent me to use for a pipe build for him.I built a C21 using the super 8 and he put it on his super 9 project("Cloud 9"),bolted right on..I can trial fit a Mina cylinder to the super 8 if y'all like after I get off my saturday work.Best I recall there are no GOOD super 8 or 9 pipes to be had, thats why I built that one for Josh..I'm getting these threads mixed up and can say that a recut/fit of a Mina pipe would net a decent setup.Since Ive got the super 8 still,I could fit up something for you if needed.. 0.0 WOW! REALLY? SO like my own custom made exhaust?? I'd be interested in that! I'll send you a PM ! Thank you! That's sweet of you.

I usually do image searches for what Im looking for. Like, I've been typing in, 'crankshaft kymco super 8 two stroke' and then look through a bunch of images. I'll usually see some sort of description next to the picture and if it's close then I'll go to the page and check it out. Then I just move on. it takes a whole lot of time, but I've been able to find many, many things this way. So it seems that the top racing crankshaft is the only one? Plus it has the bearings and seals already pressed into it? and to summarize, that malossi lc kit will fit into the engine case just fine, yes?

You don't have a lot of choices as far as that motor is concerned and I didn't see many cranks. I didn't look for one at scooter attack though. They may have one? You'll have to buy bearings and seals and install them yourself. And I believe that the Malossi for the Super 9 will fit your Super 8.

I did check scooter-attack and they only have the original replacement grade. I think the Top racing from Portugal may be the only one for performance. I really hope that LC BBK will fit too. It's been a nightmare. I guess next would be to look for a Stage 6 pro replica and have 190mech modify it to fit the super 8. Was it you who said that buying these items direct from Germany and have them shipped here is cheaper than buying within USA?

Sometimes the total price is cheaper to buy from them, yes. They're like the Walmart of scooter stores in that they stock mass amounts of parts and sell them cheap. Not that the parts are cheap! Most of what they have are top tier quality. I wish the shipping weren't so much

spaz12 doesn't bother me, for every instance it's been cheaper to buy abroad for me (then again I have a morini)
Tecnigas next-r from germany Stage6 kit from canada Polini Gears from italy
all of the above I paid $20-35 for shipping and it still came out to cheaper. And even cheaper than an equivalent part for a minarelli I think. The gears I got for $60 shipped from italy!

Oh lord... well, might as well learn everything I can, specially since you guys are too kind in helping me out. I feel like it's practically out of my level... www.mopedarmy.com/wiki/Calculating_port_timingIt's pretty simple although I don't claim to know much about it I think I can piece it together. One whole revolution is 360 degrees of the crank. the 180 he's talking about means the exhaust port is uncovered for 180 degrees rotation of the crank. the more duration it's open, the higher the engine is revving the more it can make power. read the mopedarmy section at the bottom of exhaust port timing's and behavior/characteristics. I found the malossi 47mm 70cc AC kit had a 180 degree exhaust on another forum but I don't know how accurate that is, it appears the crank con rod length has to do with it, so I'm not sure that timing can be applied to ALL malossi sport 70cc kits or just the specific application, although I imagine the port map for malossi 70cc kits are the same.

You were doing fine before and you'll do just fine now. It's a learning process that we all go through. Beside's, it's nothing too complicated or scary

Sai- It probably seems real overwhelming but we all go through it as Spaz mantioned. If I can learn it you can! lol. Remember when I mentioned you'd eventually get into port durations and such eventually...well, you're hhheeerrreee haha. Here's a nice lil' writeup from our very own tech section that teaches how to read port durations of your cylinder. 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/353/port-durations-degree-wheel-methodsThere's even a handy dandy printable degree wheel! Just print it out and glue it to a CD. It'll eventually become one of the most important tools in your arsenal! Finally- a FREE tool! lol. (I printed mine on cardstock and glued it to a CD and I use a bent paperclip as the pointer) You'll understand once u start using it!

I'll be tearing my top end apart soon to adjust my port durations. Maybe I'll make another video...
