Sai- It probably seems real overwhelming but we all go through it as Spaz mantioned. If I can learn it you can! lol. Remember when I mentioned you'd eventually get into port durations and such eventually...well, you're hhheeerrreee haha. Here's a nice lil' writeup from our very own tech section that teaches how to read port durations of your cylinder. 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/353/port-durations-degree-wheel-methodsThere's even a handy dandy printable degree wheel! Just print it out and glue it to a CD. It'll eventually become one of the most important tools in your arsenal! Finally- a FREE tool! lol. (I printed mine on cardstock and glued it to a CD and I use a bent paperclip as the pointer) You'll understand once u start using it! Can we use that port map that's already made above?

Yes,It should be real close, thats the same one I posted in the link and its already got the port durations calculated. The way I see it is stock,it'll be a good LV pipe cylinder, more work will be needed to the cylinder setup for the S6 pipe to work well.

As long as I don't have to shave the LC BBK head , I'm up for it. That is the correct Malossi part number too. So while I wait for the BBK to arrive, how do I prep it for the S6 pro-replica? No choice but to use the degree wheel like in the thread that Brent posted? I'm re-reading the degree wheel thread... my head exploded.

Ive been thru trying to explain doing the port degree thing many times and nobody gets it!Its very hard to grasp till you actually see it done.Ive found no vids that seem to cover it well.. The addition of a cylinder base spacer(1mm)with a .5mm gasket on each side 'should' get you very close,BUT then the squish will be off 1.5mm's...You know what that means... I would install the piston without rings, slide the cylinder on with a base gasket, then do a port duration check to be real sure first if it was my project..

There are other ways to adjust squish that doesnt take as much 'elbow grease',machine shop toys! Here is a step cut head to get the squish right on a raised cylinder; Another step cut; The top of the cylinder can be cut too,but we usually do the head as its the cheapest part to replace if it needs to be returned to stock..

I think at this point, let me get the parts in first and I'll also tell you when I order the Stage 6 pro rep so you know when to expect it, 190mech.
I think the cylinder port timing adjustment will be made as the final step, as I need to get everything installed first, yes?

A trial assembly will be needed to know what your port timing is,then you'll know what the next step is..It may be close out of the box..

Got the parts in finally.... 2 weeks.
Heading to the mechanic tomorrow morning, so wish me luck.
THe port timing can always be adjusted once I'm done with installing everything , correct?

Yep,It'll have to be disassembled again to do the adjustments though..Your LV pipe should do well in the stock assembly setup..Did you find a good radiator yet?

No, but there's a motorcycle junk yard at the race track I'm getting this done at. And there's stacks of radiators. Mechanic saidhe'll find something that fits plus hose. Honestly I'm thinking of adding a mechanical pump also... I got the electric pump, but if battery dies, I'm toast.

I'd go mechanical pump too since the Super 9 LC bolts right on..Then no electric load worries..
