Small update. The ported and flowed block has been delayed so I've decided to get the one I have back up and running, which requires the plugging of quite a few holes I reckon it's doable though - JB weld FTW I split the cases and removed the crank. The most time consuming thing was removing the flywheel, it was sort of welded on with bits of shredded woodruff key spread evenly between the two. Didn't get any pics as my hands were filthy. I'll get some when I go back out in a mo.

Wonder if that sheared key was the reason for the strange running lately... :stumped:

Wonder if that sheared key was the reason for the strange running lately... I don't think so, as the vari drive plate had also been sheared off.

Port mismatch, anyone? That's better Repairs Making sure the mating surface is true with wet and dry and the flat top of a saw.

Nice work. That thing sure has some stout oil passages. Sure does! Wonder if enlarging ours would be a bad idea?.. I have thought about it for some time now.

I wish there was a store locally we could just run out to and pick parts off the shelf like you can Ishigham. Wouldn't call it local, it's a 3hr round trip. Still, better than waiting til Tuesday for the parts. Almost done now, pics to follow

It would take us 3hrs just to get through airport security to get on the plane to head to somewhere that has that much stuff around. lol I couldn't afford the plane, let alone the parts once I arrived.
