Bad news I'm afraid. It would appear that the flailing con-rod has deformed the mating surface too severely, so water is leaking into the crankcase from the water pump  I'm going to have to get new carters for it, at a cost of £210. |

Darn!Can you locate the deformation and clean&seal the area? I did attempt to do so, using Brent's permanent marker trick, but it wasn't having it. I did rebuild it again with extra sealant, better but still leaking. |
